Worked on a redesign for my bastard child website http://stickybomb.org/home
For some reason your site doesn't work for me. DNS propagation?
It was because I was restarting apache do to an error in my configuration. It should work now.
For some reason your site doesn't work for me. DNS propagation?
Try using google's DNS servers. [editline]01:32PM[/editline]
It was because I was restarting apache do to an error in my configuration. It should work now.
Oh, okay.
Working on: Ignore the background, it's there to show transparency.
One of my mums friends company's want a site done where they can easily add pages and stuff so I'll make a mock up of it in Photoshop, reproduce in HTML then convert it to a WordPress theme, unless you guys have any simpler CMS I could use? It will have a gallery on the front page also so they want to be able to change that easily.

There are plenty more simple CMS' than WordPress.
Tomorrow I'm going to draw the LGBT flag in Illustrator and stick it on AnyHub for that LGBT bullshit they have at the end of June. [editline]10:57PM[/editline] :v: [editline]10:57PM[/editline] Also, search Google for gay pride and look at the search bar
BrettJay - why is there CSS code in the right?

Looks like a rendering problem, no way could it be part the design.
I wanted a tiling background to scroll (to highlight the way the links and logo on the right stay fixed in position while the other elements in the background scroll). I decided to use an image of some css code, so I could tile it easily (plus, it's sort of relevant to my blog since I spend so much time coding CSS). And JDream is right, I was experimenting with the code spelling out a phrase (nothing significant, just for kicks). It draws attention away from the main area and looks a bit gaudy, so I'm gonna get rid of highlighted characters. The code scrolling in the background as the user scrolls through blog entries works well. I'm also working on a site with a working title of 'Brett's fiddly bits' (yes, I know). I'm experimenting a lot with css/xhtml right now, and any successful experiments I'll post there. The image is quite tall, so I'll link it here (once again, rendered in Firefox, not a mockup).

Fancybox ftw [img_thumb]http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae223/Bellmanator/saveimage.jpg?t=1277402652[/img_thumb]
Too bad the site behind it doesn't look as good. :(
Too bad the site behind it doesn't look as good. :(
I'm always open to design suggestions. Especially considering I can't design for shit.
It's to plain. Sometimes gray works but it just doesn't look good on your site.
ShadowBox is where it's at: http://www.shadowbox-js.com/ :)
Just converted to that, looks sweet. [editline]02:00PM[/editline]
It's to plain. So unless your saying the layout itself is boring, thats sort of taken care of.
VladH just added me on Steam. Destruction is assured.
VladH just added me on Steam. Destruction is assured.
[img_thumb]http://ahb.me/6fl[/img_thumb] What kind of destruction? He only added content, y'know.
He only added content, y'know.
Hey, that's a feature.
Take your pick. There are plenty more simple CMS' than WordPress.
Dont use GetSimple. When one of my clients were using it it broke itself. I suggest Frog or Wolf(a fork of frog).
