[QUOTE=theJohn;32335386]TextMate > Sublime Text
However, Sublime is a great alternative when on Windows![/QUOTE]
What does TextMate offer that Sublime doesn't?
[QUOTE=Jelly;32336350]What does TextMate offer that Sublime doesn't?[/QUOTE]
Can't really give you specifics, but it's generally a more mature editor with a larger community behind it. With that said:
a) Sublime is progressing at a fast rate, with new features added at least once a month.
b) For 90% of the users, Sublime already has all the features they need.
Use TextWrangler or BBEdit
I vouch for Sublime Text too, though the two themes posted by StinkyJoe and BrettJay I will need to download when I get back to my desktop. I normally use Sunburst because I like the dark color scheme as it's easier on the eyes. Both of those color schemes are dark and seem pretty well-made. Thanks for the scheme suggestions.

Well there's two components to the screenshot I posted. Soda Dark is the theme (UI and buttons), as for colour scheme I use is a modified version of [url="http://madeofcode.com/posts/29-photo-my-new-textmate-theme-8220-made-of-code-8221-mdash-download-9-feb-2010-update-t"]Made of Code[/url]. Oh, and I use Consolas for the font.

It doesn't work. Am I doing it wrong?
Just drop the tmTheme file in your Packages folder, and select it under Preferences > Color Scheme.
@BrettJay: with some minor modifications, I am in love with Made of Code:

Right-click, save-as: [url]http://fildob.com/Made%20of%20Code.tmTheme[/url]
Might want to rename it first if you don't want it overriding the original, I couldn't be arsed.

Still looking to find a way to change the goddamn font though.

Notepad++ .. theres nothing that sublime can do that n++ can't do for me. I uninstalled sublime after getting bothered by trial boxes and asking me to buy the software.
Been using notepad++ for several years now, had absolutely no issues with it.

I've had bad experiences trying to regex search/replace on Notepad++, I forget exactly which operators I was trying to use, but what worked on Sublime failed to work on Notepad++. That said, I still find myself using Notepad++, but mainly because I'm having problems finding a decent light skin for Sublime.

its one alert box after every like 50 saves
[QUOTE=Kwaq;32372056]its one alert box after every like 50 saves[/QUOTE]
It feels a lot less when I have the tendency to save loads.

I like to save my progress every time i type a word :v:

I've got a spare invite for [url=http://chocolatapp.com/]Chocolat[/url] (OSX). Anyone want it?
It looks extremely basic.
[QUOTE=JamesDean;32380721]It looks extremely basic.[/QUOTE]
That's the idea.
[QUOTE=JamesDean;32380721]It looks extremely basic.[/QUOTE]
And basic is what works. If you want a bloated editor get Dreamweaver, or even better, Frontpage.
$50 seems pretty steep for a text editor. I'd rather go with bbedit for $10 less, which has pretty much the same feature set and more.
[editline]20th September 2011[/editline]
oh, and there are a billion plugins for bbedit, too.

I was talking about chocolat, the thing that Jelly posted. I'm actually thinking about getting sublime, those themes are :gizz:
