I'm teaching myself CSS and this is what I've managed to come up with so far: http://somethingbeginningwithp.com/ Having some problems with the top left name and the bottom nav bar cant seem to get display: inline; working at all which is somewhat annoying.

There are noticeable bands. Other than that, that's pretty sweet dude.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/VOhrJ.png[/img_thumb]
What browser?
I finally got some hosting with brohoster, so I have uploaded a couple of uncompleted websites  [release]Intrepidesign.com When I bought the hosting, I wanted to have something to put up there, so immediately after my account was up (which was like 5 minutes after ordering), I set up a small, one-page splash screen. It's intended to be temporary, but until I have a need for something more, I'm just going to leave it.[/release] [release]SublimeChan (Active Project) Billed as one of the first (if not only), imageboard focused on discussion and feedback relating to art, design, development, and creative fields in general. Set up as part of a project amongst my uni mates and I, we believe the imageboard format has large potential to be used as a method for collaborating with others on projects; for instance, when working on a game, games design students can upload game assets to the imageboard, and others on the site can provide feedback. We're not looking to start another 4chan or ape its community. Some people love 4Chan and some people hate it. We respect they've got their own community, and we're not trying to recreate that community, so in a sense, it's a very niche imageboard. We're trying to foster a community for budding designers, developers and artists to discuss and collaborate in an open environment. Right now, there aren't many posts on the boards (since it's mostly just several mates and myself on it). It's powered by Kusaba X. Most of my handiwork is in the form of design; for instance, the home page in the right frame was designed by me from the ground up. All the boards feature a custom dark CSS theme developed specifically for the site, and I'm actually very happy with how it looks (in particular, how the horizontal rules separating posts look). Oh and by the way, the logo (the awesome smiley), with the lens flare and the 'web 2.0' reflection is supposed to look shitty, surprisingly, it isn't a coincidence :smug:. I'll probably change it at some stage. The site is still being developed, and has no community so speak of. Right now it's just a site for uni mates to get feedback/collaborate on projects. I would like the community to grow larger, but I'm not really intending to promote it. [/release] [release]Portfolio: Johnson Landscapes Sometime ago, I posted a screenshot of this website, which was completed as part of my web design course. I finally got around to uploading it. I'm not too happy with the subsequent pages, by far, my favourite, is the homepage, but I ran out of time since I also had an animation assignment due on the same day (which took ages to render). Fully valid XHTML 1.0 strict, and it would be valid CSS 2.1 if I didn't use -moz and -webkit css prefixes. It looks fine to me as is, but I'm not sure what your original intent was.

the two column layout kinda doesnt make sense imo. for sure it make it look better but im not seeing how it will be logical once you plug in the content. Put in some content and prove me wrong please.
