No, stop being silly. The creative part was da Vinci deciding how he wanted to use the paints. Please don't bring stupid analogies like that into this though, it's dumb enough as it is.
How the hell is a 1:1 analogy a dumb one? I don't know if you think I'm joking or what but your tone is starting to sound like you're offended that someone might not agree with you.
Programming is not an art. A piece of code is not a painting. It's a technical drawing. A technical drawing of the final program. Technical drawings are not pieces of art, they are documentation.
Programming is art. Code is art. Technical drawings are art. Documentation is art. Anything is art. If something personally evokes emotion in you, then... It's art!
yeah guys, check your art privileges

Right, you people, stop faffing around and take your arguments to instacode.
Please stop derailing the thread and keep the discussion to meaningful information relating to HardCode as I do not want this thread locked.
Sorry if this is considered a terrible necro, but what happened to this? It looks really promising.
Sorry if this is considered a terrible necro, but what happened to this? They ended up starting work on this site they dubbed hardcode.io, and it was meant to be a socialmedia / project management platform for developers. Well, they only ever had it working 100% in Chrome due to some experimental stuff they were playing around with. Plus it seemed rather unfinished and still does. Really wasn't my cup of tea. (It was invite only, and I scored an invite) As for the IDE itself, they didn't abandon it, but they said they ran into a snag with some of the GUI stuff and were too busy with school to get it sorted out. But they were pretty far along apparently, but of course, we only had screenshots to go off of there. So who knows. I assume they just abandoned both projects. Because they haven't released any updates to the public since June, the last one being by Twitter.
