• Facepunch Programming Competition #10: I've got 4K problems

Rewrote my demo to use W3C's Web Audio API, which is a lot more verbose but allows finer-grained audio management (so I don't have to precalculate my fourier transform and attempt to keep the visualisation in symc with the music manually). I'll finish it and turn it in tomorrow, probably.
Technically there's supposed to be a voting thread now, but there's only two entries, and one of them is a joke :v: Anyone have any last last minute entries to turn in?
The worst competition of 2013, I guess it was too hard for most people. (Including me)

Second place! UUMPH! Now, where's my title?

Alright, here's the OFFICIAL WINNER LIST!!! First place, BMCHa:
(I assume we're meant to PM you, this is the first FP compo I've actually participated in.) For version choosing, the 1280x720 runs about ~60 fps on a stock 560Ti-448, and the 1920x1080 runs at ~27fps. All run in fullscreen. I'd imagine those are part of the June 2010 runtime given that that's the sdk I have. I'd check but I have to leave for class in 10 minutes. Just titled it "Marker" in the 10 seconds while I waited for it to build. It's rather obviously unfinished (not even 4k and I've hardly optimized the shader), but hey I had fun and learned a whole lot. I'd consider that a success, especially considering my almost complete lack of experience in any area of demomaking. Thanks for running this.
Second place: Smashmaster's 4KQuad. No one gave up any prizes, so you get nothing but bragging rights. Enjoy. Here's a debriefing, though we all sorta know what went wrong: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/10WrJqfiGLu1kMXwMc6e8nYcAs_IEmBpQf9mwzDIq4wA/viewform
Or if your connection speed is too slow for that 3.5kb download, you can watch it in megabytes of video:
Completely forgot about this, well congratulations on the winners. Here a screenshot of what I made : [IMG]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28926055/fp4k.png[/IMG] Had a little synth and the cubes twisted / responded to the music.
