my cloth tends to bunch up when you drag it

i think it happens because vertices end up on the wrong side of each other, and then the springs try to keep the proper distances between them and that makes them bunch up
any tips?
Do you think you could make it a little thicker? It looks like a sheet of tinfoil right now :v:
Do you think you could make it a little thicker? It looks like a sheet of tinfoil right now :v:
hm, honestly, i dunno :v: right now it's just a basic 2D cloth simulation so i don't know how i would add some "depth" to it
my main issue with it is that it bunches up when the vertices get all mixed up
So I'm really loving how fucking awesome my UI engine is.

It'd be cool to see a full view of a cloth with depth folding around itself and stuff
hm, if i make the cloth a higher resolution then the bunching up issues go away. wonderful

here's some more multi-touch cloth

i plan on making this a nice little free time waster. there's something similar on the app store but it costs $0.99 and it just looks ... shitty (no offense to the developer)
you'll be able to pick any one of your photos to mess around with ... assuming i can get s3eImagePicker working :v:
I hope my posts are still content :v:

Is this WebGL or on Android with OpenGL?

Dude.
This is like.
Dig It: Space Edition
(i.e. awesome)

it's just plain opengl es 1.1 on iOS/Android
incoming ~~deprecated~~ posts

Thats pretty awesome. Are those gifs from a device or the emulator? I assume a device because holy fuck the Android emulator sucks.

the GIFs are from an x86 build (running marmalade's simulator)
here's a screenshot from an ipod touch 2g

it's usable (20FPS) but it's kinda slow, runs much better on current devices (iphone4, ipod 4g, etc.) for obvious reasons
[editline]15th November 2011[/editline]
those are test ads btw
And back to Lego Racers we go, adding some limited texture support.

I hate when you come off of a productive coding session and end every line with a semicolon;
Edit: or when you try to make something in Python
I made a shitty little beat detection script in Unity while in IT class.

Its not perfect, but I don't think I'm going to continue with it. I just made it while the teacher went on about spreadsheets for an hour.

Awesome. Add multithreading support and adjustable cloth resolutions! I'd buy it (if it's not free).
My game could become complicated;
Now add airlocks and atmos support. :v:
Any love for linux and mac programmers in here?
Programming for iOS really makes you love languages like C# and C++. Everything is just a fucking struggle with objective C. It has some nice things about it, but they're ruined by the fact that it is upsetting to look at and loads of the keywords have been changed for no real reason. This shit ain't logical.
Any love for linux and mac programmers in here?
I program all my shite on Linux and then port it to Windows, if that's what you mean.
I program all my shite on Linux and then port it to Windows, if that's what you mean.
I think you misused the term port here. You just open the game-file with window's love version.

s/love/love2d/g ?
s/love/love2d/g ?
its correct name is Löve2D, but I just call it love because I'm too lazy and everyone know what's meant.
How do you know that Octave meant Love2D?
How do you know that Octave meant Love2D?
Are you high or something?
Are you high or something?
He's right. "Any love for Linux/Mac programmers" generally means "do people program for Linux/Mac around these parts".
I'm confused as to why Love2D has come into this conversation, nobody said anything about it :v:
People often call love2d simply "love". DrLuke2 thought Octave was using that terminology.
Ah fuck sorry, it's me who is high...
People often call love2d simply "love". DrLuke2 thought Octave was using that terminology.
LÖVE2D is LÖVE.
LÖVE2D isn't it's name at all; it's just the domain name. Presumably because it was cheaper.
Added crafting recipes that you can load via a file.
I'm really glad I did that tokenizer a while ago.
Here's an example code file:
[csharp]
#so it goes all like
#{
#"Recipe name"
#item id return * number;
#item1 required * number;
#item2 required * number;
#etc.
#}
#example:
{
"Grass to dirt";
1 * 1;
2 * 1;
}
{"dirt to grass";1 * 1; 2 * 1;}
[/csharp]
[editline]15th November 2011[/editline]
Each recipe file can contain any amount of recipes.

It's not JSON :v:
