http://filesmelt.com/dl/Matrix_screensaver.zip Source: http://filesmelt.com/dl/matrix1.love I have no idea what you have to do with the dll's.
[img_thumb]http://localhostr.com/file/vtb3Ecc/matrix.png[/img_thumb] It's sooo purrdddyyyyy. Thanks for giving me something to play with :D
It wouldn't actually make sense, though. The information density is much too low. Suppose your "matrix code" symbols are displayed in a 16x16-pixel font, and assume a rudimentary 256-color (8-bit) display. Each 16x16-pixel block contains 2048 bits (16*16*8) of information, so it can display 2^2048, or about 10^617, distinct pictures. For a 24-bit display, it's much higher (6144 bits, 10^1850 possibilities). Unless your code alphabet has googols and googols of symbols, it can never convey anywhere near as much information as a picture would in the same amount of space. The idea that people can look at a screenful of matrix code and "see" a picture, like in the movies, is complete nonsense.
You can convey a lot with just a few well-placed characters. cf. Dwarf Fortress and Japanese. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] Elephant, elephant, plump helmet spawn, chert...
Trust me, you do. http://filesmelt.com/dl/Matrix_screensaver.zip Source: http://filesmelt.com/dl/matrix1.love I have no idea what you have to do with the dll's. Nah I coded it that way.
You could try packing the dll's in the screensaver.
Fixed upside down collision Increased player size Added ARROWS!! PS that's not goto, it's gotoAndStop, flash uses that function for animations and shit
can you use the arrows as platforms? [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] because you should totally steal that from that Archer game
AmcBRO is more like it.
I was playing with C# again... I present you Fireworks: DOS edition. No controls, just random fireworks. Btw, the lag is caused by the recorder, not the code... (and it beeps on exploding though you can't hear it from gif...)
can you use the arrows as platforms? [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] because you should totally steal that from that Archer game
going to do that right now [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] thanks 4 the idea
Someone needs to invent a way of doing that.. a sort of 'gif with sound'
You mean a video?
Running at a solid 60FPS with over 130 entities being physically simulated. I'm pretty proud of it, if I say so myself :v:
Alright lets try this Terrain Generation thing... Well, not quite... Oh yeah, look at that! Almost... Let me just change this... Add this.. Oh yeah!! Shit.
Alright lets try this Terrain Generation thing... Well, not quite... Oh yeah, look at that! Almost... Let me just change this... Add this.. Oh yeah!! Shit.
Back off buddy.
You mean a video?
*Whoosh*
Back off buddy.
Yeah, that's right. I'm coming for you. You. and... not much better.
I feel like I may have started a fad.
1) Write Lua module to obtain voice stream from mic 2) Load module into LOVE 3) Scream into mic 4) Generate terrain from fast Fourier transform rage
1) Write Lua module to obtain voice stream from mic 2) Load module into LOVE 3) Scream into mic 4) Generate terrain from fast Fourier transform rage
Well... GET TO IT MAN!
I just had the weirdest idea to use a microphone to generate truly random numbers...
I just had the weirdest idea to use a microphone to generate truly random numbers...
If sarcasm: hardly har. If not: atmospheric noise random generators.
I feel like I may have started a fad.
Oh no, we had the tile game fad a long time ago. Hehe, you should've seen all the creative and not-so-creative names to replace "minecraft".
If sarcasm: hardly har. If not: atmospheric noise random generators.
Yes, but I don't know about you, but I don't have a device capable to pick up athmospheric noise. A microphone is a perfectly fine noise generator everybody has at home.
Yes, but I don't know about you, but I don't have a device capable to pick up athmospheric noise. So close!
I've written a native faceAPI module for Lua, and a native SAPI module for Lua, but not a CLAM/irrKlang/PortAudio/FMOD/BASS module. I really want to though. I just haven't gotten around to it.
I got my AI working really nicely by organizing everything using a merge sort. Only a few problems at the moment, the most critical one being that it fires randomly in the first 30 seconds then snipes you like its from counter-strike:sauce. I learned several things about sorting algorithms over the past couple days from this project too. When they say that an algorithm is designed for small arrays of items, they mean it. I was trying to sort about 1~4 thousand shots with bubble sort, and it just stopped responding. Then I tried insertion sort, and I got a stack overflow. Curse you complex game class structures!
I don't know what one is the best/easiest to work with. Does anyone have any feedback on this? I could write one up today. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] Dragonsdoom! My automerge. :(
Today I finished the final update for the anonymous chat application I worked on for a client. Pretty happy with how it turned out. [t]http://i.imgur.com/FrjLx.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/81AW[/t] For the final layout I was inspired by the website itself. Unfortunately I can't show a screenshot of the chatting as almost nobody is online at this time, but it looks something like this. Vreemde means "stranger" in Dutch and Chat met Vreemden means "chat with strangers". It also has notifications for when you've connected with a stranger and when a new message was received while the app was in the background.
I'm still figuring out how to get a TCP socket client working in android, and a TCP socket server in PHP. Fingers crossed I will work it out soon, that apps looking good!
Why make a TCP server in PHP? :v:
I love you all, no homo.
