Already got that WoW armory signature thing working. Quite nice. http://www.marlamin.nl/armory/char/sig.php It's really basic at the moment but it works. EDIT: Just need caching. :P
Add Pacific realm support to that shit....
Add Pacific realm support to that shit....
What region they on? US? (aka www.wowarmory.com)
What region they on? US? (aka www.wowarmory.com)
Dath'remar, Pacific. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dath'Remar&n=Ultrapwn (not my account.. lol. Tis my brother's.)
Yeah, that's US.
need to figure out a way to translate appid to name (440 = tf2)
You could always try parsing that list: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_Application_IDs
Why not make a list? The ID's don't change do they?
Yeah, that's US.
Cool stuff.
Cool stuff.
Yeah. I need to finish cache soon though. Before school's out and everyone opens this thread. The amount of armory requests will get me banned. :v: (Disabled it for now, replaced it with a placeholder. Sorry. Don't want to get banned. :v: )
Can you host me? I just need a personal blog which I'll probably code myself and a place to stick some GMan downloads.
Yeah sure, PM me :)
Well, enough of screenshots. http://anztf2mug.net/a2h/bugspray/ ...
TODO:Add captcha?
Gwen's scaling works! Obviously this skin goes a bit pixely - but you get the idea.
Unfortunately there is no visual indicator yet. In the video you can see the red ants chase a black ant and the black ant will disappear after a while. Now I've made it so when an ant dies their body fades out slowly. I can't decide what sort of indicator I should use when ants attack each other. Efex suggested making the ant that's being attacked flash by fading in and out which sounds pretty good to me. Any other ideas? [editline]10:01AM[/editline] Ideas for visual indicators when you drop food into the anthole, and when you eat food would be nice too. [editline]10:13AM[/editline] Lookin' good popey. I just got that screenshot. Before I thought the walls were passages, but now I see they are walls and bridges. But why do you bother keeping a manual version number for your application? You might aswell just go by svn revisions and tags. I imagine manually doing it would be a bitch and would get out of date if you were lazy.
Thanks for the input. Keeping a manual version doesn't really bother me because once I finish something I just change it and I also keep a version history. Only takes 30 seconds really. It does fall behind sometimes but I get round to updating it. I can't think of anything to do in the time frame I have, might get a blog. Might work on game states.
Zooming in on Fannies, huh?
Everybody likes fannies :)
forgive me if I'm stupid but...
if(app_id == 440) { set_status_message("Team Fortress 2"); }
Or something sexier than that.
except i'm not going to hack in every single steam game name. there's a failsafe way to do it with steam's api but i don't know exactly how. [editline]03:08PM[/editline]
You could do with a way to parse VDF files (steamdir\appcache), that has all the app names in it.
this, there is a function that does it for you. [editline]03:09PM[/editline] oh yeah, it needs to work with mods too

(I'm assuming you won't be supporting mods of other steam games, such as Unreal Tournament)
Working on this with PHP GD :)
I'm finished with the Pixel Shader Testing Suite I made for my next game Arcane, Stealth & Power. The nice programming people here could test it and report the results after running the stress test (average FPS will do) and if any graphical malforming happens. http://upload.namelezz.net/downloader.php?file=8395918_ASP_PixelShaderTest.rar And I stress again, this is made in Construct like I've told you. In the end this will be made part of the installer program of the game.
Full FPS. 8800GTS. A question, is most of the stuff here in C++ or is it C#?
Get the Steam installation directory, and parse the gameinfo.txt files manually for source mods? (I'm assuming you won't be supporting mods of other steam games, such as Unreal Tournament)
no
Full FPS. 8800GTS. A question, is most of the stuff here in C++ or is it C#?
It's done on the construct engine. That's written in C++ I believe. Edit: Oh and I got 60, 8800 M GTS (Laptop Card) I'll try again with forced off Vsync and tell you my max.
On my laptop, HP dv6408nr (can look up specs) it has a 6150GeForce integrated nvidia and an AMD Turion 65 X2 and I was getting 12 FPS.
I got bored of 2D stuff so I tried some OpenGL. It's really easy with SFML.
TODO:Add captcha?
I'll probably resort to reCAPTCHA or something but until then.
<script type="text/javascript"> document.write('<input type="hidden" name="whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat" />'); </script>
A large majority of captchas these days have been broken anyway. And this probably as well, but I have no idea.
The "Captcha" on my site is basically only good at annoying users and making it easy for bots. I guess that's what you get for a five minute hack-job in PHP, using one of the default GD fonts.
I remember seeing a site using Captcha. Dumbfucks didn't know how to place text in images :v:

Unless you're like Overv and you think it's complex technology.
Why didn't you just use reCAPTCHA? Unless you're like Overv and you think it's complex technology.
I love it, but I wish it didn't use API keys locked to domains...
I love it, but I wish it didn't use API keys locked to domains...
Enable this key on all domains (global key)
Enable this key on all domains (global key)
Ah, I haven't used reCAPTCHA in a long time and the feature wasn't there before. Cheers. [editline]12:52PM[/editline] Well, I've decided to work on registration. Here's a wonderful failure message. EDIT: On second thought, I should just redirect back to the form.
While you crazy people go and make wonderful things, I will be learning how to program my Arduino. I got it to flash an LED five times and then pause for one second. Yay me.
