At least that is very a good thing. For Android, you can use admob, which is google's equivalent of iAds.

Sad to hear about that you don't want to add is as alternative to your API. I don't mind the extra cool stuff you both may add to your thing so I will most probably keep sticking with my plan writing a wrapper of FP-API to TapaTalk and run it on my server. I just hope you really release the API, because that's the key for my plans.

I never meant to make anyone buy TapaTalk, all I requested was support for it from FP's side. People could have still been using the future FP app, but those who already were using TapaTalk on several other boards on their mobile could have simply added FP. Now they need an additional app.

Because serving serverside prefilteted content in an app, which does nothing else than showing content is [b]much[/b] faster than parsing all the HTML,CSS and JS of a website in a browse - Independent of a mobile theme or not. That's why an app is good (I once thought the same about "apps for boards" until I found out my favorite boards have TapaTalk support).

I don't want to argue with you concerning "terrible" (Like I mentioned before, I like my own work also more than other's after seeing their code), but the last point is no real reason. There has to be no "popup" like "This forum uses TapaTalk - Do you want to browse normally or use TapaTalk?" - There is a setting, which shows you that message once browsing a site but it is not required. So people wont notice that TapaTalk support is there but FP could support it for those who already have it.
In contrast, you could add a popup like "Use our FP app".
