printf -> run-time typing of the arguments (va_lists are essentially void*) boost::format -> compile-time typing of the arguments (templated operator% for argument-passing)
Sorry to carry it on, but I don't know why you would buy an iPhone with the intention of developing for it before actually realizing that you need a mac to do it, so then sell it. It makes no sense to me. It's just the price you have to pay to develop on the iPhone. I seriously doubt you're gonna make money on mobile software elsewhere right now. It's an investment. If you can't afford, or aren't willing to invest, then you shouldn't be investing.
You could use VMWare and Leopard instead, you know. But Objective-C is a strange language anyway..

I just bought it because it seemed nice, and I needed a phone at the time. Now that I've actually developed an interest in developing apps, I took the HTC Hero. I can afford and am willing to invest in that one, because in the long run it's a whole lot cheaper.
Yeah you can afford an iPhone and want to develop for it but you can't afford a mac?
I got an iPhone 3GS for 400 pounds, pay as you go, which isn't that bad comparing with a mac.
I can get the new Mac OS for $30. I can't quite afford the iPhone/iPod Touch, though. I don't mind playing around with the Droid some, though, and I'm wanting to develop something.
You can pick up second hand macs dirt cheap, but new you're looking at $1000+ I think.
guys don't even argue about garry about apple shit. he has a god damn apple tv, seriously.
That's like selling your car because garages cost too much to operate
It seems to me like that would be a completely legitimate reason for selling a car. Can't afford the kinda stupid and archaic iPhone development process? Go to Android where the review process is far more progressive and cheaper. There's a reason why most iPhone apps cost money while Android apps do not despite being comparable in quality.
You should set that to your avatar instead of the current one, since it's an animated version of it.
Silly Chrome, not supporting animated PNGs :(
You should set that to your avatar instead of the current one, since it's an animated version of it.
Chrome does not approve of silly avatar.
Chrome does not approve of silly avatar.
Chrome (or at least Chromium) doesn't seem to approve of much of FP in the first place. It may be ass-tearingly fast for me on Linux, but it doesn't play very nice with posting, as it tries to double-post all my messages and won't let me edit them.

It'll double post if you press refresh after posting, and it should warn you
First I am planning to update Iso-World Christmas time-ish(got finals coming up ). I will be adding a gamemode unBEARable. Where you fight off waves of bears. And after you are defeated it will submit the score online. And you can see where you compare to others people. There will be a display menu showing you how much food or wood you have. You will be able to tell your people what to build. And a lot more I am not thinking of. Now pictures! Bears are coming to kill. List of gamemodes that are someday are going to be added. People farming.
It'll double post if you press refresh after posting, and it should warn you
It's not consistent, but it usually comes up with the warning about waiting 10 seconds between each post every time I reply to a thread, so I am assuming it is trying to double post. [editline]11:40PM[/editline] It didn't happen for that reply, though. [editline]11:40PM[/editline] but does with the quick reply button, though.

(for those that are bothered I said java syntax because even though android uses a java vm it uses none of the standard java libs and uses its own so all it uses is the syntax). You just have to make an app people will want not just Fart Generator 5.7. I do agree that the iPhone does have the largest app market on the mobile platform at the moment but if you look at the current and upcoming Android phones then you can see that quite easily it will start to dominate the market in the future. The iPhone will always be limited in the fact that Apple are the only company that can make phones that use its OS and app store, whilst Android has 90% of the major phone makers on board.

EDIT: On another note, I've been working on a better backend for my build system for the past week or so, as well as a different workflow. My work payed off, and luckily I've seena 20% increase in speed! All I have to do no is implement dependency functionality, and it'll be a better 0.1. Then all I have to do is add MSVC support. And this is for blankthemuffin: my build system has pkg-config support :)
Working on my agent system homework that was due 30 minutes ago. I decided to do zombies and humans. Only need to add the guns and the food so the humans can reproduce and I should be done. Oh and add more statistics.
Add buildings and allow humans to make safe houses that can still be over run and shit, etc, etc. Would be awesome :v:.
Lots of iso-world stuff
I will be very dissapoint if no christmas content screencaps are shown this december :buddy:
My next project, huge groups of pixels fighting. What more could you ask? Only got rocket and conventional soldier done so far. Next up is a marine that fires in burst and can move up and down, then maybe a suicide troops.
an anybody recomend a good vector2d c++ class or a link to making one
an anybody recomend a good vector2d c++ class or a link to making one
Why would you need a tutorial? It's easy if you know what a vector is and howto use them. If not: http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/07/linear-algebra-for-game-developers-part-1/
