You should make it so if the mouse isn't hovered on the menu Home or the secondary menu, it will just close. When I just move my mouse from top to bottom the menu is open till i put my house back at the menu.
Yeah. I haven't added the "mouse has left the navbar div, close whatever menu is open" control, and the bottom two buttons are currently unsupported. What I'll eventually do is make it so if there is a button in the nav that doesn't have a sub-menu, then it has its own separate control that simply closes whatever sub-menu is out. Those two should alleviate that problem.
With the top 2 menu options I found I could get the wrong set of options to slide out still but I saw the first one you did earlier and it's definitely improved. I hope you show us the next iteration. :) Although I only managed this once. I tried to do it again and have so far failed.
I've yet to be able to break it. I'm kind of glad that you were able to, actually - and that you were only able to manage it once. I hope I'll show you guys the next iteration, too - and eventually the website that it'll one day be used in. If anyone can find a way to break it, please let me know, and try to put in as much detail as you can as to how you did it. And thanks everyone whose given any feedback on this. I love you guys.
Didn't ifaux stop designing and leave Facepunch because he was being a whiny little bitch and said that he was bad at designing? Now he comes in waving his virtual cock around, claiming he's the best designer.
I believe he got perma'd for trolling. Unsuprisingly.
By the way he was kidding this time. It's just that his jokes are incredibly unobvious.

Anyone want Forrst invites? (http://forrst.com) It's a good web design/dev community. PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I don't think a topic for it is worth it.
High school being over feels reaaaaal nice.
You decided to come back to design?
yes & no. i kind of wanted to mess around in photoshop when i was bored and made that jellyfishery thing though, no other plans

Welcome back, ifaux!
Come back to design you son of a bitch, the web is moving really quickly and you don't want to be left behind.
i don't know maybe. if i get a good enough idea that's not a ripoff/homosexual, than i'll consider trying it. but for now, no thanks
Welcome back, ifaux!
give me back my avatar you sonofabitch
response web design so ~web 3.0~
If you were on a mobile, would you really want the navigation/sidebar taking up most of the screen? also why isn't the header bottom border consistent?
If you were on a mobile, would you really want the navigation/sidebar taking up most of the screen? also why isn't the header bottom border consistent?
I would think you would get frustrated trying to click small buttons.

The footer content fades in once it has retrieved the system stats using some ajax magic. What icons would you recommend and what's the correct way to design for mobile?
What icons would you recommend
m-m-m-monotone
what's the correct way to design for mobile?
http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.0rc2/ Like that, the design fits in, one central menu, no seperate links, all using AJAX I think.
I feel so dirty when I use web frameworks. [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] Montone icons would make the design look even more bland and generic. [editline]6th November 2011[/editline] Kind of like how people just use Twitter Bootstrap.

IMO what you should do is develop mobile with separate functionality as well as design, ie. a collapsing menu that can be opened by clicking a button at the top so it's always accessible (just out of the way when not being accessed) Unless with a smartphone browser, having the finger on the screen counts as hovering and click on release, which would make sense and allow you to have the menu collapse using pure CSS.
Concurrently developing an independent desktop and mobile version of a site would be a pain in the ass.
Except you never bothered to ask if it was meant to be one. HINT: It is.
Do they force you to use that design on all iDevices? I'm not familiar, but even if it's made for an iOS device, you could still spice it up a bit? But yeah I didn't know it was an actual iPad site so just ignore me :v:
