It's already #fafafa, dunno why it looks so dark.

Is the spacing better now?

What about #fcfcfc? Though it depends hugely on everyone's screen quality, you might want a darker background for those on cheaper screens (which, in my experience, make it hard to see very-light greys).

This isn't to do with anything web development related, but more coursework. What do you think is the better font?

Did you actually edit the Apache one or just rewrite it in PHP?
tbh it would be more convenient in php.
I want to ask you guys what you think about a very easily achievable website idea I have, but I'm not sure whether people here would steal it and make it in about half the time it will take me, is it safe?
we need a private forum for people who aren't dicks :/
[editline]17th December 2011[/editline]
Alcapwne, on a public forum, depending on how good the idea is, i'd say no.
[editline]17th December 2011[/editline]
although i'm dying to hear it

Just made a .htaccess file to point to custom header/footer html files, then it's as simple as adding a little extra HTML and CSS.

I've probably overhyped it now, but I should have it done in a day or two
we need a private forum for people who aren't dicks :/
i call it: facepunchr!
I reckon create a private forum like Ac!d suggest, only give access to those who can truly code or and design quality websites / apps / interfaces.
edit: Oh and call it facepunchr

Depends on how you want to define dicks I guess. I've said it a few times before but I think most people were confused when I said that we've got a Skype group with a fair few current and ex web dev members. We only use the chat/text part so it doesn't matter if you don't have a mic or webcam. Current people are: Myself, AndrewPH, Benjojo, Turb, StinkyJoe, TerabyteS, ifaux and tdoyle (:awesome:). Everybody is welcome so shoot me a PM if interested.
[editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Or we could ask Garry really really nicely for an invite-only subforum. A chat is more direct and allows simultaneous conversation.
Managed to implement Mt. Gox API on my website to allow automatic Bitcoin withdrawls. I was a bit nervous about activating it (due to it making the site a massive target for hackers), but everything seems alright so far. I've done everything I can to secure it and it SHOULD (touch wood) be immune to SQL injections etc. Feel free to take a look if you get a chance - http://www.bitcoffer.com/

No different from before except now I have a slightly valid excuse :v:
Being completely rubbish at design (as opposed to development), I tried making something based on Twitter Bootstrap...

Imo, there's a bit too much un-used space in the white "the ultimate kitten" box. Just looks like it's missing something.
I've already asked Garry for a subforum once and he said no. I guess the same answer would come for an invite-only subforum.

If I made a Facebook group for us webdevs, would anybody join it?
[editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Here we go, join the group (make sure to let us know who you are because random requests from unknown users aren't accepted)

Somebody called Jung Oh has asked to join the group, please post here showing who you are or else I won't be able to accept you.

I'm Heinrich and the mayor surname, you can't miss it.

Renewed my domain since I'm starting to get back into WebDev now. I've uploaded a comment app that I made a while ago (and started to improve recently). I'm working on the new version here now.
