You should make those eye, glass and balloon icons thicker.

Yeah I actually had them thicker but accidentally deleted the stroke layers....oops.
Not sure if thats very 'shit eyesight / monitor friendly'
not much contrast going on thats for sure
Really? I have really nice monitors that can basically mimic any scenario from ultra shit to ultra good. I went through the color ranges on them and I didn't encounter any huge issues. I think after I added the text shadows its worked a lot better.

Charlie, you make me feel incompetent as a programmer for my age. I feel like I should be way far ahead of you yet you always seem to be ahead of me.
With my insanely thick glasses, Pure red and Pure blue will "Move" to the left or right as I move my head, due to This.
Just a FYI for any designers out there that aren't aware.
Makes some text colours on these colours impossible to read.

How is this:

Your colours are fine for me (Even in the previous screenshot) - that subtle dropshadow helps a ton. :)
It starts to become a problem for me with small text sizes and strong blues and reds, trying to think of an example.
The fineprint on the netflix page, if I am not looking DIRECTLY through the centre of my glasses it becomes a right mess.
this article explains it quite well: http://blogs.infragistics.com/ux/articles/colors-and-user-experience.aspx
To be honest it's not really a problem for most things, or some people - My eyes just utterly suck :v:.

shiny cool shit

Now that's awesome! Shows up good on my Android phone but gets funky on my iPhone.
Idea: What if you allowed people to do something like [ img ]http:///www.terabytes.me/qr/[/ img ]. This would check the HTTP referrers and then return a QR code for the current page. eh eh?
On another note, shiny modals!

I'm working on a Minecraft-clone in Javascript for my first WebGL project. Could you guys give it a try to see if everything renders correctly?

I'm intending on making it an actual game and adding multiplayer as soon as possible. That is what will make it exceed similar projects.
I'm just nit-picking, but this is really annoying me in Chrome.

Working fine for me.
Page isn't even loading for me. Just says open the flood gates. Click and nothing happens.
[editline]23rd December 2011[/editline]
On a side note, I'm going to be rotating the text on the login/register modal I just posted for fun.
Here's what I've got so far:
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
"Stop right there!"
"This is a hold up!"
Any other suggestions for the black text?

In landscape. In portrait it looks fine.
Which modal fits better:

Yes, it looks a little too big, I'll try to change that.

Updated my site:

I'm working on more features like a 'popular' and 'recent' thing and I'm trying to figure out how to get the copy to clipboard to work
[editline]24th December 2011[/editline]
can you figure out what the site does using the illustration?
This is a really bad decision on behalf of the designer. Such a waste of space.

Made a site for doing vocabulary lists, mainly because I think they're bullshit.

oh yeah i was considering getting my username (not partent z, only because the long version wont fit on fp) as a domain, then doing a site from scratch. i like the look of your guys' work, any tips you can give to a person who doesn't know how CSS stylesheets work?

Anyone else excited about css filters?
I'm going to be rolling them out in my plugins very soon. e.g.

Background when modal dialog is displayed:

-webkit-filter: grayscale(0.6) blur(3px);
If someone has www.twipsum.net but they say nothing about copyright or anything, can I get www.twipsum.org ? Our sites have quite similar concepts.
Thanks

A copyright is on a work, like a painting, a book or a computer program. A copyright is automatic.
A patent is (supposed to be) on a specific method for doing something, for example using an air filter in front of a fan to stop dust accumulating. These are difficult to obtain.
A trademark is on a name, like Google or Facebook. This stops other people using your name. It's moderately expensive.
So unless they've got a patent or a trademark you're good to go unless you want to steal their entire website :v:

thanks a lot,
do you think our concepts are too similar? Theirs is: you enter a twitter username and get that user's tweets strung together in a paragraph.
Mine is: you enter a word/phrase and you get paragraphs of loads of random people's tweets containing the word/phrase strung together.
Thanks

I don't think they're too similar, aside from stringing tweets together into a paragraph, they do very different things/target different tweeters.

Diving into Facebook's open graph & timeline stuff, I must say their documentation isn't exactly helpful.
