I can't really see anything wrong with that, good work! For some reason though I think the about box should have more padding, might just be me though.

Your FileBox site is coming up with some mysql errors and isn't formatting correctly by the way. But your portfolio looks nice, good job.

I don't know, maybe because it is your work that you worked hard on and want it protected if someone were to steal it

I thought about a landing page but it didn't seem effective. And yeah, animations directory is defo something I'm making, taking me longer than I thought though.

no i know but how do you do it
do you put copyright in the bottom of it or what

Depends on the country you live in. Most places copyright is automatic.
I heard the US has pretty strict laws about copyright.
That's not true. You don't have to visibly claim copyright to own the rights to a work that you created...
Everyone in this thread should honestly have a lot better understanding of copyright law than you guys seem to. Anyone who creates should understand exactly what rights they have to their work.
[editline]21st July 2011[/editline]
And for the love of god you guys need to stop stating things as fact when you don't know for sure. That is how misinformation spreads.

I'm just stating what I've always read and been taught. Though not required for automatic copyright, it helps for it to be there if someone ever wants to try and douche you legally since it's then blatantly obvious that it's yours
Ignorance isn't an excuse to break the law in any other situation so it's not like someone can go "Oh I didn't know it was protected by copyright"
[editline]21st July 2011[/editline]
Not saying that it's not a good idea to add a copyright notice. Just that it absolutely is not a requirement like you claimed it was.
True. Though if I remember correctly it has to be an actual registered copyright (not an automatic) if you want to bring an infringement suit against someone.
Registration just makes it easier to prove that you were the orignal creator of the work and to prove the date that it was originally created at.
You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work.
Wouldn't that mean if you don't register, you can't sue for it?
Before anyone kills me on this, I'm not certain about this but I am 95% sure that in the UK, if you have put a copyright notice on your work, then you can file a lawsuit against someone who steals it
Wouldn't that mean if you don't register, you can't sue for it?
Ah, touche. I had assumed that since registration just acts as something to help show original creator/date when it's applied to things like DMCA takedowns that it worked in the same way for infringement suits. That's interesting to me though, what happens if you're running a blog and someone copies a post and you want to sue for it? They can't expect someone to actually register every blog post...

One would presume you copyright the blog itself? Shouldn't that umbrella cover all content on the site?
It does.

So I just used a live distro of linux to go into my Windows partition and replace explorer.exe with the windows7 version, but I didn't notice it was the 64bit version and I'm on 32bit, so now I'm left with a black desktop and I have to open applications using task manager :v:
If anyone has 32bit windows 7 could you please pack and send me C:\Windows\explorer.exe? Thanks.

That text colour for the centre text is terrible. Needs to be darker.

For all content that exists already, yes. I'm not sure if it would automatically apply to all new content though.

As someone who hasn't had much sleep and is staring blearily at their screen... yes :v:
As RusselG says, make the font darker.
[editline]oh yeah[/editline]
Try picking a darker hex from this list - http://0to255.com/ABACBF - (That hex value being the colour you picked for your text); maybe #696b8a; that will retain the colour you picked, but also make the font darker and much more legible.
I was once again looking for random domain names when I stumbled upon http://me.com
