I fell in to a fucking awesome opportunity here. He's got exactly the skills/resources to bring to the table that I have been wanting/needing, and I've got exactly what he needs. It's a win win win win win win situation haha.
Don't undervalue yourself. You're crazy crazy valuable to him. If you've tried to hire another designer/developer in the last 2 years you'll understand why. 4 or 5 years ago it was difficult but not impossible to find a good web developer. Nowadays, it's like web developers looking for a job don't even exist. Last night I went to a local web dev meetup where there were probably 50 people. There were 4 different companies who were all trying to hire people. I talked to the owner of one of these companies and he basically begged me to come work for him.
I'm not downplaying this opportunity at all, it sounds awesome! Just remember that you have a skill that is in HIGH demand right now.
That's a lot of white space you have there.
What? It shows up fine on my computer.
Which one would you use as primary (If I choose this I'll probably register both):
volcanic-pixels.com
volcanicpixels.com
I like that name a lot better than Spider-designs. Nice one!

In the security camera thread you said you were the one on the phone with him. So that means it was either sponsored or planned by you and those two other abominations of hosting companies. It doesn't mean jack if the person who carried it out is employed by you or not. It just makes you and your company look pathetic.
Sneak peek at what I'm working on today:

I'll post the full list of logo concepts tomorrow afternoon. Doing some pretty solid branding so I need to get this right.
Also, damn, I need a dribbble.

The top one looks pretty sweet, can't wait to see them.
I really have to start working on something design related soon, I need an idea..

There we go! Looks good in my opinion.
Feedback would be much appreciated.

Man, I've gotta move to where you live. I have more freelance offers thrown at me than I can handle, but can't for the life of me find any positions open for webdevs around here, unless I'm up for 9-5'ing legacy Drupal modules in a dimly lit cubicle.

Stop flaming him guys. It wasn't that bad of an idea, he just implemented it "basement dweller" style and it turned out super awkward.

I don't like the lines of colour in the 'Jordan Boden' text, I think the sidebar thing adds the colour needed.
Also the main content looks fat and clunky compared to the sleek navigation bar. I think the concept and design of the navigation is brilliant but you should base the rest of the design to match that look. I think you should add more line spacing on the content text and find a nicer font - Arial doesn't seem to do it here, but it's fine for the navigation bit

That makes a lot of sense since really the logo and content areas are the only bits I have pulled from the original design from like a year ago so I have sort of revamped the other areas and left those two bits practically unchanged. Thanks for the advice.

I've spoken to the client for which I'm doing a website (I've shown the design few pages ago and with thegreat help of you guys, made it look better) and he sent me his company logo and a few changes, which I've done:

As you can see he said he prefers the navigation menu in the left, in a vertical position. While I think it looks good, the top becomes super empty, but he seems to be pretty pleased with it.
But here's the bad part: he said he'll ask his "designer" friend and maybe give me some "recommendations" (doesn't it remind you of some comic by any chance?).

Looks quite nice :) Although I think you should tell him to trust your creative direction because it's difficult to work otherwise

The green used for the high-lit elements on the nav doesn't fit with the rest, if I were you I'd use the green from the background.
The green of the logo is another shade of green compared to the green you've used in the design. Consider changing one of the two to fit the other (I suggest the logo's).
You need to add left and bottom margin to that image, around 10 px. You can't have text touching the image like that.
Try having more horizontal padding than vertical padding. Since the shape of the container is a rectangle, that might help preserve the harmony.
Also, if I were you, I'd make the paragraph heading text bigger and use, once again, the same color as the background.
Can someone help me with this little problem on my site?
http://www.lthq.me/
If I make the window smaller the text under the navigational buttons gets moved to the right. The same problem occurs with the Google+, Steam, and twitter buttons on the contacts page. This problem also occurs on Steam browser and mobile browsers. Can I switch my code over to CSS or something?

You need to make use of div's in order for pretty much anything to work properly also center is now a deprecated element, use margin:auto instead to center stuff or text-align:center.

Oh god oh god I don't know CSS my website is gonna die. Where can I learn these things in the best way.
Some might hate me for saying this but you can pickup the basics over at http://www.w3schools.com/, it has some good beginner stuff and you can work at your own pace. I am sure there are better resources out there but I don't know any off the top of my head.

I honestly don't see why it gets so much hate, I guess its far from the best but still isn't really that bad of a starting point or even as a reference.
I'm trying to use a certain image for my header at the top of the page and I want it to be centered horizontally. How do I do that?
I'm trying to use a certain image for my header at the top of the page and I want it to be centered horizontally. How do I do that?
To center horizontally, you put
margin: 0 auto;
on the header element, and
text-align: center;
on an outer box which you will place the header and all the other stuff inside so that it all centers in IE

It's outdated, and full of factual errors and inconsistencies. It's far from the best, and there's way too many better options to even bother mentioning w3schools ever again.

What do you mean by outer box? It still won't work on IE. I don't know where to put the text-align.

You should have a div structure like so:
<div id="wrapper">
<div id="header"> </div>
<div id="content"> </div>
<div id="footer"> </div>
</div>
and the css:
#wrapper {
text-align: center;
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
}
#header {
margin: 0 auto;
width: whatever;
height: whatever;
}
Content and Footer css should be similar to Header css

Oh yeah for sure, I've been making sure I get what I'm worth, and will definitely continue to do so with the profit splitting moving forward. He's also been very forward with the fact that I am very valuable to him. When we met a couple days ago everything he suggested or brought up while we were talking was all exactly what I had been thinking prior to the meeting too, so we're on exactly the same page on how we want to do all this, which is fucking sweet.
