I think the logo design itself is pretty much settled, although the kerning on the "y" needs to be played with a bit I think.
I think the all the characters should be much closer together - the h-a in particular
aside from that I think number 2 was the best
Hmm, so this is interesting.. Adobe Flash killed by HTML5 by... Adobe themselves? [sp]I don't necessarily believe Flash is actually going to die, just interesting Adobe is producing a tool which conflicts with their obvious interests in maintaining the Flash platform[/sp]
[release]Adobe Edge
[thumb]http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2011/08/adobe_edge_screenshot.jpg[/thumb]
Adobe® Edge is a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
Edge will be updated regularly to add new functionality, stay ahead of evolving web standards, and incorporate user feedback to provide the best functionality and experience possible. This is an early look at Edge with more capabilities to come.

Looks kind of like Adobe After Effects but exporting HTML5/CSS4/Javascript animations... Now that's an interesting idea.
Well I guess the only reason Adobe want to keep flash alive is because they make money on the Flash CS5 products etc. If they become the defacto HTML5 editor (similar to how Photoshop is the defacto image editor) then that's good for them.
Edge looks like it could add some really cool designer effects to websites, and a whole heap of websites that over do it. Really it's just like flash, used correctly it's awesome but I feel Edge will have more uses as it's directly mapping to html+css+js etc.
Looks nice, but Chrome is having some plans for a new UI too
I thought I would post this in both WAYWO threads.

What it does is it sorts posts based on ratings and their importance.
The way it handles "importance" is through groups:
Left four = High priority.
Middle four = Normal priority.
Right four = Low priority.
Last rating = Don't display.
You can change the number of posts to show by changing the highlights textbox, the limit is 40. And the same for the min, max posts as well.
Since I'm still developing it I've disabled downloading threads, so you can only used cached threads at the moment. The threads that I've cached so far are the programming WAYWO, web dev WAYWO and digital 3d art thread.
Feel free to suggest new features or improvements.

I've found that same tileset before, but just couldn't get any program that could properly slice out all the pieces. What did you use?

Very nice, couldn't help but notice that I could select tiles when I tried to "paint" the grid though.
Turning off user-select would probably fix that:
user-select: none; -moz-user-select: none; -webkit-user-select: none;

Not sure if I'll even be using this ever. But when I got back from my vacation yesterday I had the urge to mess around in photoshop.
It looks nice
Started that new job today. Partner/employer has a pretty cool idea for a social media sort of thing that actually hasn't been done yet and that I think has potential to catch on, and I am normally one to be very very skeptical of social media pitches. It's secret though so I can't tell :3

Oh and I was working on logos today since the first thing I'm doing is redesigning their sort of ugly website and logo. I'll post the final up when it's done.

I did them all manually in PS :/ Is there an easier way (not looked into it)?
Also thanks Geit for that code (updated on localhost).
it works fizzzardar

Woop!
Next step is to have PHP slap all those images together into one, then the editor will have a second stage for marking walking areas & doors/etc (although that second stage is internal only).
The whole point of the editor is to make it easy when it comes to making maps for the game, and eventually it would be nice to have community maps if the community was ever to grow.

hi nice desktop background you have there
Obviously not finished, just a proof of concept for the background:
http://tdoyle.me/dev/blue/
No images used at all. The only files needed are the .html file, stylesheet, and a couple font files for the text.

How does it crash?
[editline]2nd August 2011[/editline]
If you get the "Firefox has stopped working" message, click more details and see if it is an access violation

I am still able to minimize the window and move it around and stuff, but I don't get any message from windows telling me its stopped working apart from the (Not Responding) in the window bar. Usually ends up being the plugin container that causes it but even ending that process doesn't unfreeze it. Literally just formatted my computer too so its a clean version of windows with the latest version of Firefox.
Loads in explorer Internet Explorer fine (well apart from the fact it has no HTML5/CSS3) too so must be something Firefox related.
Works fine for me in Firefox 3.

garry permabanned :awesome: with the reason “requested”
We've lost a web dev great
I want to get every third row from the database starting at the third row desc.
This is what I have and it works fine for grabbing the image. But I cant get the `link` column from the database.
$row1 = mysql_query("SELECT *
FROM (
SELECT
@row := @row +1 AS rownum, image
FROM (SELECT @row :=0) r, projects ORDER BY id DESC
) ranked
WHERE rownum %3 =1
");
<div class='col'>
<?php
while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $row1 )){
echo '<a href="'.$row['link'].'"><img src="'.$row['image'].'" /></a>';
}
?>
</div>
