Bust my internet stick so no video/media till I'm back in the UK (iPhone internet is slow!). But the map-side of the game is looking good, the map is drawn as a large image, however all decorations/nature/etc are drawn as individual tiles on top, allowing you to walk behind buildings/etc. All works very nicely, almost got map-loading/changing working. Then onto battles I guess ...
