For some reason I feel unsafe entering my login details anywhere but minecraft.net
I agree you, are putting your faith in an unknown developer. Different case with something like steams openID however.

Think Google's homepage, how it's just an input box and a button, with a few links at the bottom. /e You could probably just have a checkbox under the input, changing it from a single line to multiple line. That'd look rather awesome, IMO.

The sidebar is shown only once, on the first visit, and which calls to actions are you referring to?
Submit and Donate. Also, change the submit button to read "Shorten". You've basically got a load of stuff there that's completely unnecessary. With a bit of optimisation, you could do a lot better with the site. /edit And use this. http://www.google.com/websiteoptimizer Hunches are great, but data is better.
http://jung3o.com/mctest/ Now, I will make a forum thingy using Minecraft login :v:
I've done this too. Though I never went any further because people would not want to submit their Minecraft credentials to you(For all they know you could be storing plain text passwords :v:). Known Havok put it pretty simple and I agree with him. [editline]10th October 2011[/editline] Benji king.
What would you do to make donate more visible?
There are a few ways you could go about it: 1. More visible link. 2. Lightbox-esque popup after someone shortens a link. 3. Hellobar style dropdown notification. Just test what works for your site, and then optimise it.
How much code is "stolen code"? I mean... if you steal a line, or a few lines is it still bad? What is ok to do and whats not?
For some reason I feel unsafe entering my login details anywhere but minecraft.net
That's true, I wouldn't do that too... But, I'll make it anyways.
How much code is "stolen code"? I mean... if you steal a line, or a few lines is it still bad? What is ok to do and whats not?
Generally, if you take something that actually looks unique (as in, someone's entire style for a certain button or div or something) it's obvious and unacceptable.
How much code is "stolen code"? I mean... if you steal a line, or a few lines is it still bad? What is ok to do and whats not?
If the code has a license that allows you to use it, it's no stolen code. In all other cases it is. Anyway if you're like me you'd rather try and make your own stuff before thinking about using code or resources made by another entity. It's way more pleasuring to make your own stuff and make it work.
Updated a website I work on to use one central page.json file for both JS and PHP. It works very nicely. http://tradecentrecannock.co.uk/home You should see two AJAX requests. One for the pages.json and one for the current page. (BTW the website is very empty because it'll be gone sooner or later)
{ "stocklist": "Stock List", "tradecars": "Trade Cars", "warranty": "Warranty", "finance": "Finance", "contactus": "Contact Us", "findus": "Find Us", "aboutus": "About Us" }
Probably would have been pain without jQuery.

[editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Also, your parents must know how dedicated you were/are(O.o) at webdev.

Then you know where stuff will go and you can design around it. [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] Here's one I made earlier:
