Another of many projects I'm working on:
http://www.meikledesign.co.uk/host/grate/
I don't think that the navigation buttons look well with the whole thing, and I think only the body text should be monospace, if even that.
I know :P
I just felt it looks nice with the theme.
Come to the sans-serif side, we have cookies.

Flags now work correctly:

(don't worry if you can't understand a word, it's just a load of bullshit and false praises for my school's awful website)
Each time a flag is clicked, the template for the data of the big white flag is fetched through an AJAX request and displayed. Madness!
TODO: polishing and no-js experience. Because I really feel for blind people.
Made this site for FarCry 3 (because it will be awesome). Probably going to use it for news and media until the game's out, then I might turn it into more of a fansite complete with forums and jank.
Ignore the url and spam for now. Any tips or design improvements are much appreciated :smile:

Ok ok... Its changed :P
CuteNews?
It's actually a modified version of CuteNews, which is no longer an active project. I like it for sites that probably won't ever see high volumes of visitors at any given time, and because it's incredibly easy to work with.
It was either that or PyroCMS, which also looked nice, though I have no experience with it.

Coolvetica is a terrible font.
Started using Javascript, so I've made this.
Code is somewhat messy, but you know how starters start. Might do a big redesign display to the tool for it to be pretty.
Any CC is good for me, especially negative CC.

Not being able to do left/right with arrow keys in the number entry can be a bit annoying, especially if you're used to correcting like that

After you have a good understanding of normal JS, try learning jQuery. Great time saver.

A little something I just started on.

I still need to play around with the navbar alignment, I believe my "g" is being clipped.
Remember how I said a while ago I always had a ton of freelance work, but was having trouble finding a good steady job in the field? I sent out an updated curriculum last Friday, and now I've got at least one interview for every day of this week, with the record being three on Wednesday, most of them for a senior position at just a couple of days short of turning 22*. Feels good.
* Had trouble remembering how old I was for second, had to do some math relative to my girlfriend's age to figure it out. Gosh.

I'm just 17 and am quite experienced with php. I can only imagine what I will be capable of after college.

Here's a tip: contribute to open-source projects. It'll make you a better developer, it'll make you a better communicator, and it'll score you major points with employers.

Oh my, never found this type of bug.
Don't worry, I'll fix it soon and add it as a revision. Might aswell start doing the template for the page design.
Is it okay, SEO wise, to have the title (in h1 tags) of an image logo hidden somewhere in the page so that a search engine can index it?
I have applied this css to it:
[css]#flagmain h1#logotitle {
visibility: hidden;
opacity: 0;
position: absolute;
}[/css]
I heard google frowns upon hidden content used to give a SEO advantage to the page, but this is merely a way for search engines to understand what the page is about since they pretty much can't read text written on images.
Updated imgur-mirror-bot to detect (with some degree of accuracy) untagged NSFW images, and to warn users posting direct links to facebook photos (which carry a profile ID).

You'll get penalised for doing that.

That's what the alt attribute is for.

Haha, well you were right and that's what really matters. The kerning is terrible, the descenders on the Qs look goofy and the lower case t is clumsy and out of place. It's a bad font.
That's what the alt attribute is for.
It's a div with a BG image.
Make it an image
If you want the header img to change on hover just set a background on the surrounding div and fade out the img so the BG is visible.
Make it an image
I can't, it contains stuff.
The header containing stuff shouldn't prevent you from making the logo an image. Explain how that for me?
The header containing stuff shouldn't prevent you from making the logo an image. Explain how that for me?
The white ribbon with the logo is the header I'm talking about.

When one of the flags to the side is clicked, it extends and shows its content:

To make that work with an image I'd have to do an absolutely clumsy mess of absolute positioning and stuff like that. It's kinda harsh.
Anyway, since the <title> tag of the page is the same as what the logo says, I guess it will do just fine, right?
No you wouldn't, just put the content above the image in it's own div and expand that div when you resize it.
No you wouldn't, just put the content above the image in it's own div and expand that div when you resize it.
I can't do that, it'd require me to rebuild more than half of it, and I'd like to have the page ready by tomorrow. I guess <title> will do.
