Where else do I post this
You don't.
Fine I just whipped this together in 10 minutes with my fresh new shiny CSS knowledge http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18280917/cleanwhite/index.html [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] And yeah, it is inspired by
Just working on this login system: If you wana test it out: click here
:v:
This is not what you are working on.
Back when I was a youngin', we all agreed that WAYWO also doubles as a general (and tangentially webdev-related) chat, as long as it doesn't disrupt the original purpose of the thread. In other news, I'm going to sleep and not even bother taking my clothes off after working on a project for over 12 hours non-stop.

I just learned from turb that Garry has replaced my Garrysmod.com design with his own on Tumblr [thumb]http://brettjones.me/i/rip-gmod.jpg[/thumb] :saddowns:

His is wasting space. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] Got a little more done. Everything is going to be inside width independent vertically scrolling boxes like the ones shown. I'll do it, I'll mess up that ugly tea-sipping mug for ya, hun.
Nothing is aligned and it has excessive amounts of white space. Brett's actually used space efficiently instead of slopping elements around the page.
Garry is silly.
Garry is silly.
fuck man now that you pointed that out
Garry has absolutely no design skill.
Q menu No, I'm not saying it's good (well it could be I just never liked it for some reason)
Quick side-project for something I'm working on: Spy (That object is a spy!) is a simple, flexible and easily extendable dependency-injection container. https://github.com/FilipeD/Spy

You have shadows here, strokes there, blurs in the back and both(?) in some other places. Then the pink hover effect, oh my... Try to make it more consistent, set some basic guidelines for how you want to visually define the page, and then try to follow them.

[editline]20th October 2011[/editline] Do you know any websites/tutorials that show intermediate/advanced technique?
please don't ever use center tags
Yeah, but the problem was, I wasn't thinking at the time, I had just fought with text-align for the past 20 minutes, and I said fuck the world and put it. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
what happened to the bottom?
I have sizing issues, I used a percentage for the width and height thinking it would scale :v:
vB vs. XenForo
xenForo is obviously better
xenForo is obviously better
how the hell did i know you'd say that
Alright, align="center" isn't working, text-align:center; isn't working. I do not know where to go from here, hopefully you guys can help me find the bug. I want to center everything, but "text-align:center;" is not working. I was using a center tag because I wanted to get it centered but the CSS rule that I have been talking about wouldn't fucking work.
<html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/buttons.css" type="text/css" media="screen"> <style type="text/css"> #login{ width:520px; height:360px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; border-radius: 5px; -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 14px #D3D3D3; -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 14px #D3D3D3; box-shadow: 0px 0px 14px #D3D3D3; background-color: #DDDDDD; padding: 10px; font-size: 12pt; color: #888888; text-align: center; position:relative; top:150px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; z-index:0; } h1, p, a, #footer{ color:white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } #footer{ background-color:#3d3d3d; position:fixed; bottom:0%; height:3%; width:100%; padding:5px; } #underfont{ position:absolute; top:95%; } #center{ position:absolute; text-align:center; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="login"> <form method="post" action="login.php"> <h1>Login</h1> <p>Username: </p><input type="textbox" name="username" /> <p>Password: </p><input type="password" name="password" /><br> <button class="clean-gray">Login!</button> <p id="underfont">Made by <a href="http://www.toaster468.com">toaster468</a></p> </form> </div> <footer id="footer">Hello world!</footer> </html>
