Sorry to continue on from my ranting at RusselG. But for some reason you're all pointing your finger at me for not giving him the benefit of the doubt. When someone continually steals designs and denies doing so even AFTER he says he'll never do it again. I'm not going to believe him/her and will be highly suspicious. Then I post a screenshot of my project then 4 hours later RusselG posts a similar design, and even says he didn't steal my design in the same post. Afterwards he makes an alt and shit posts in a horrible attempt to troll us, further showing his high maturity. He brought it upon himself by ripping designs and denying it hence my suspicion.
fuck off russelg you're just digging yourself a deeper hole
thats not even me yeah that looks like my setup completely. Notice the absense of the Adblock button, and the presense of Firebug.
thats not even me
Jeez, there are quite a lot of Firefox-using, Windows 7-using Australians that post in this thread, huh?
Looking apon the thread, that appears to be true. :eng101:
Thanks for reaffirming his post, it helped me understand that there really are a lot of firefox-using windows 7-using Australians.
Removed the gradients, and it's like our sites have nothing in common. If you guys are complaining about the layout; this layout is so common that it'd just be stupid to say I stole it. [editline]ff[/editline] Also, those gradients were presets on the Colorzilla Gradient Editor, and I liked the look of them. As I said, I choose the gradients before Jelly posted his screenshot.

Best way to solve the "who is RusselG and who isn't" is to get a moderator to check the IP addresses.
This is becoming highly annoying.
Or just ignore all this internet "drama".
Best way to solve the "who is RusselG and who isn't" is to get a moderator to check the IP addresses.
After pages and pages of shit, it's clear he doesn't care whether he gets positive or negative attention, as long as he gets attention he'll just keep on responding, and then people respond to him again and so the cycle continues. So I think the best way to solve the actual problem is to just stop giving him attention and get on with the thread.
has web dev really not progressed beyond this shit

I just want to get my ACTUAL designs CC'd, like most of you, I suppose.

Ok, I get the point. Back to that shitty project I had (gmdb), I need a colour scheme. The previous gradient was terrible looking and I have no idea for one. Any suggestions? Here it is without the colours.
Obviously not my work, but out of curiosity - thoughts on php.net's alpha redesign?

[editline]df[/editline] How can we activate/use that design instead?
God that is way better than that bland eyemurder of a purple. [editline]df[/editline] How can we activate/use that design instead?
Go to http://www.php.net/my.php, scroll down and select "alpha" from the dropdown.
Wow, php.net now actually looks good! Looked like a 90s website before.. Though it still need works (but then again, it's called an alpha for a reason.)
To me it looks like the php.net alpha site is designed by developers, not saying its a bad thing though its clean and simple and seems to suit the purpose very nicely.
I wonder why setting the default language to german still shows the alpha version in english... But then you can't really expect it to work in multilanguage when it's still at alpha stage, would be neat though.

There's something about the vertical alignment that's really annoying me. Any chance you can make the main content area vertically line up properly? In other news, an interesting read on why a dev releases his stuff under the GPL: http://zedshaw.com/essays/why_i_gpl.html
