Don't use WYSIWYG if you plan on doing it for money.

My friend and I are both 18 and have gotten a bit of business.
Not much though. 50 quid here and there. Most businesses shaft you if you're not an established company and/or over 25, around here... they get in touch with you, make you do some design mockups, say they like the design, then fuck off to someone else because "they don't trust us, we're not old enough"... :\
Guys, I'm sorry. Dreamweaver is messing up and not installing.
Once I get it working I'll do an example.
Thanks,
See you in a day perhaps.

I'd be embarrassed if my website looked like that.

It's okay man why don't you just get Notepad++ and do some coding by hand, like most of us do.
Or are you not capable of doing that?

I'm capable of doing that, but I want my example to be hard-hitting.
While Notepad++ is a good tool and I like the way it colours (British) HTML codes, but I do not wish to code by hand.
Also, why does compwhizii have an alt, I remember him being a moderator.
Code html, or give up.
Would you say my example was hard-hitting or not?
Made using NotePad++ in little over a hour. Its not an excuse to not code by hand because you want a web page to look good. What ever you use you are starting with the same blank canvas, and the output code is usually pretty much the same.
Not really, the dreamwaver code is a mess sometimes.
I have never used Dreamweaver so I don't really know.

Coded in about 9 hours with Sublime Text for HTML and jEdit for PHP.

I don't need Dreamweaver or WYSIWYGs to make quality sites.
Do you work in Visual Basic of C++?

What do you want to do stylee32. Do you want to wait till Juggernog whips something up, or do you want a zip with the files that I made for you?

I don't see where all the Dreamweaver hate in this thread is coming from.
Of coursw WYSIWYG sucks, but DW's Code View is awesome.

Eh, I don't like it that much. I've used it a couple times, and yeah, it has a few nice features but you can get the same and more in Aptana, notepad++, etc. for $600 less.

Yeah, the price is ludicrous...

Dreamweaver isn't needed at all, if you need dreamweaver to design then you aren't a designer, dreamweaver will want you to use tables for design. As a designer I use dreamweaver but I never touch the view button, I use it for code and FTP.
TLDR: You shouldn't fucking need dreamweaver to make an example.

He's not very good to be honest with you.
Web design is a very competitive field these days, and getting money from local fucktards who understand nothing, is not a living. To make a living on web design you're gonna have to be one of the best.

Unless you get a job as an in-house web designer.
Example: Twitter. Horrible web design IMHO
I only use Dreamweaver for the css side, thats about it.
You shouldn't really be making a whole site in it though to be honest, it's web view is shit but the code view is really useful.
Notepad++ and Photoshop is where it's at, I find Dreamweaver annoying, it takes me less time to design it and code it in Notepad than to use Dreamweaver. :colbert:
Yeah, I usually design the whole page in photoshop and then crop the graphical parts and code html by hand. I use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 for the CSS, awesome addon for firefox users, check it out. Makes CSS coding a lot easier and faster when you can do it inside the browser and see what the page looks like.
I used to have that, until I started using Google Chrome. :buddy:

I prefer firebug for live page editing.
