Make horizontal swipes take you forward/backwards. Make them sensitive enough that going vertical and then sideways (a curve) doesn't send you sideways.

This makes me cry as well, but I can comfort myself with the thought that I can still continue the original myself when I desire so.
Right now I just feel like a more technical project and not an end-user experience oriented product.
I apologize, instead of being an asshat, let me grid off the margins that you should at the very least adjust to. One moment.

I guess it's not needed, I've been told he's going to make it swipe instead.
If it's on GitHub, it's going to get finished!
Seriously, though, committing changes strangely gives me the motivation to work on projects that I would have otherwise quit. Every time I write a commit message, I realise what I've accomplished and it just makes me want to do more. It gives the sense of accomplishment that is normally only satisfied by people telling you how great your idea/whatever is.
If you have trouble finishing things, you should try it. The same concept of course applies to SVN, which is probably what made me actively develop Evolve for over a year.
Hey folks, I apologize for the potential perception of spam here, but take a second to check this out:

As content creators, I'm sure you can feel his pain. Essentially Facepunch's MaxOfS2D is being put under the stress of some dingus claiming copyright on [i]his[/i] content.
For those of you who don't know MaxOfS2D:
1) Are you living under a rock, you dumbdumb?
and
2) [url=http://www.youtube.com/user/MaxOfS2D]Check out his work, it's pretty fantastic[/url]
Here is one of my personal favorites:
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whd8PbDcKDI[/media]
Please spread the word so his work isn't stolen by some jackass. Reblog it if you have tumblr. He's a pretty great guy, too, and I'd really hate to see this petty crap happen to him.
after accidentaly removing half my code and spending half an hour rewriting it I now realise I probably shouldn't try to program at 4am
here's hoping for better luck tomorrow

Checked it out, has nothing todo with the thread. Spreading word isn't going to help anything sadly. Sucks he is getting ripped off, but until the other party starts profiting off of the stolen content he can't and shouldn't (waste of time) doing anything.

(also if there's any haskell gurus here who can tell me how bad my code is and how to make it better, please do!)

I can't see why images wouldn't work. Not sure about how it gets the posts, but if they're parsed from HTML then you can easily get <img> elements and if it somehow got BBcode you could just parse BBcode.
Posting from FPAndroid.
Also, Sim642, it's because of the way Android does TextViews.
I think I know why my blur shader has been halving my FPS; I'm creating a new canvas every frame :v:

If you can't put the images inline, then maybe make it so that when you click the post a new screen comes up where you can see all the images in that post.
Hello guys and gals! Just thought I'd show you guys my morning project yesterday, a marriage of java and arduino into getting the closest NES playing experience I could, despite the fact that the postal service are yet to bring a power supply for my NES. Note: I didn't write the emulator being used. Here's a link to the gallery: [url]http://imgur.com/a/cHHpv#0[/url]
If any of you want the source just drop me a pm and I'd be happy to supply you all it :).

Since the last video:
Added individual chunk saving/loading (current saving system is horrible though, a txt for every chunk.. working on a new one)
Removed tilted/smoothed block corners (reason above)
Added view bobbing
Added step sounds (did those like 20 minutes ago so they're still bad)
Added block.. stepping up? (walking up to a block one block higher than the one you're currently on and autostepping up onto it, still needs work)
Improved shaders a bit (world curve still needs fixing, it's kinda weird)
Probably more that I can't remember

Write your own TextWithImagesView?
Today I published my free and open-source AIR text editor application, made with Flex. It's called Kirpad and features stuff like tabs, snippets, interface customization and many more features that most text editors have. It is missing syntax highlighting though, but I might add that in the future.
I made the project open-source, but I also made a series of tutorials, explaining each step in details. There are 102 parts in total, and I have been writing a new tutorial every day since October 11, 2011 (that's when part 1 came out).
Download page link: [url]http://kirill-poletaev.blogspot.com/2012/01/kirpad-flex-air-text-editor-download.html[/url]
First part of the tutorial link: [url]http://kirill-poletaev.blogspot.com/2011/10/creating-flex-air-text-editor-part-1.html[/url]

More screenshots in the first link (I don't want to spam the thread with my pictures :P).
A tutorial with 102 parts?
It is a pretty complex program after all, and each step is explained so that less experienced coders would understand the meaning behind it. For those that don't want to follow this long article, there's just the final source pack available for download.

I can see why you would want pages on a desktop application, but navigating though pages on a mobile is annoying, can't you just make it automatically load the next page when you get near the bottom?

what am i doing there D:
My raytracer now has spheres with cool patterns.
[img]http://i.imgur.com/1klRo.png[/img]
Now I can make them reflect stuff! (also that scene graph on the left is totally fake and doesn't do anything yet)
Getting good amount of FPS with 13 chunks of draw distance (416 blocks radius):
[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/oVQDp.png[/IMG]
I'm really starting to see the benefits of ray tracing as the same draw distance was very laggy with polygon rendering.
So basically the idea is that when there's more polygons than pixels, raytracing is faster?
[QUOTE=WalkDinosaur;34318290]Unfortunately, images in posts do not show up, but that's pretty much unfixable.[/QUOTE]
Not true, Geel9. There is an overload of Html.fromHtml to which you can pass a class that fetches the images in the HTML:
[url]http://developer.android.com/reference/android/text/Html.html#fromHtml(java.lang.String, android.text.Html.ImageGetter, android.text.Html.TagHandler)[/url]
[QUOTE=esalaka;34322418]So basically the idea is that when there's more polygons than pixels, raytracing is faster?[/QUOTE]
Well I wouldn't quite put it like that.
You still need an efficient way to pick which objects possibly collide with the ray because if you test all of them, you might as well just render them
