better exacted
The main gripe I have with my current provider is the lack of decent statistic tools. Awstats can tell me a lot of things, though it can't tell me where my bandwidth goes and what files are downloaded the most (And how much it adds to the bandwidth usage). Another thing: yearly payments. Personally, I hate monthly contracts. If I could drop the $40-70 in one spot and not worry about making payments every month, I'd do it.
I see. Well I'll look into the statistic tools for direct admin see if i can find something. Yearly plans will be added. Don't you feel more comfortable paying each month just in case you feel like moving host?

How about if we cancel we get back what ever we didn't use ? say we pay for a year buy only use 5 months out of 12 we can get back what we didnt use
Do you think its key then to show the status of 100% uptime for proof of service reliability?
You can't give a proof for 100% uptime reliability, you never know, sure it shouldn't happen that your servers go down, but we're humans(who make mistakes here and then) eh? Then, what kind of clients do you want? Serious businesses or private people? If the latter, put in some jokes, show that not everything is "serious business" on the web. Sure it's just web hosting, but a laugh here and there doesn't hurt. *cough* Reminds me of brohoster while I read through it again.

You would need ultimate redundancy to manage it. Maintenance of nodes and whatnot need to have everything rebooted. [editline]24th October 2010[/editline] 99.9% is credible. I wouldn't take a host that says they have 100%. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just highly unlikely.
Yeah i agree that 100% every month will be ambitious but i mean to prove service reliability should i have it shown somewhere?
Put in something like "99.9% uptime, if it isn't then have a nickle on us!" Then you can take 5 cents of their bill and it gives you a sort of a funny way of saying you're sorry for the downtime.
It really really really pisses me off when the latest version of PHP isn't installed. I want to use all the latest features.
I would love a webhost with a free trial. Make a page where people post their ideas for a website, and you give them 2 weeks free hosting. During that time, if the idea is good, the guys you gave the free trial too should get enough ad money to start paying for the hosting. I'm sure it would lure guys that don't have money for hosting, but have coding talent and a good idea
Well i don't know if you saw but on our billing panel we have promotions. You sign up your details or register a forum account and the database randomly picks someone to have free hosting etc.

I want speed - and ssh access, with a good backup service.
[img_thumb]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/tick.png[/img_thumb]
Why do you have more Agrees than the actual post QQ
site5.com has a free trial for example. I want speed - and ssh access, with a good backup service.
SSH Access is a available now as for backups DA has its own user backups would that be fine? Or would you want something external?
everything justhost.com has plus svn support
By everything you mean the "unlimited" feature... because it's false. Even in their terms it says they limit CPU and on WHT so many customers have complained.
I want all my customer service calls routed to India, and I want to be slapped around like a cheap ho. I need this, because it's what I'm used to.
I've uploaded a temporary site so I can get a few customers and get some feedback from real customers. I'll let you guys know once our billing system is complete along with live chat and forums.
http://www.dedisrv.eu/web.html buying page is too plain seriously, when i scroll down all the way, it's just a bunch of tabulated letters. it seems kind of gimmicky for some reason to me also, at the top, the orange to white gradient hurts my eyes, maybe i just have weak eyes or a really high brightness monitor but i donno. also, it's not level with the image on the right of it the links at the bottom look really bad in blue, i suggest you change that also, you make it so that your site is like confined to that borders. it gives it a more restrictive and boring look
My SQL
MySQL is one word. [editline]31st October 2010[/editline] Same with DirectAdmin.
Site looks like this in firefox for me The buttons at the bottom at least, there is no blue border in chrome Also is there even a 2.4 ghz i7? I'm pretty sure that should say Quad Core i7 2.66 ghz.

I'll correct the spelling errors. As for the site there is nothing I can do till the new one is completed... but i have no time frame as it's code when i feel like it. Will have to look into that blue error it doesn't show up in firefox 4 D:
