Why would you ever use flash? Ajax all the way.
Why would a wysiwyg use ajax?
Why would you say AJAX as though it is at all a replacement for flash? That's like saying that you want to use oranges to make an apple pie... [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] And yeah, using flash for this would be dumb.
I meant it as why would you ever use flash for a wysiwyg. But ajax does replace Flash in a lot of cases. [editline]6th November 2010[/editline]
Why would a wysiwyg use ajax?
Well, I guess it would just be plain old javascript.
Nivek and jaybuz, quit bitching at each other. That's what's ruining this section.
(if not ignore this)
Consider it ignored.
I think ratings have more of a negative impact than they do positive. Pretty pointless tbh.

I agree to disagree. This section needs more respect :)
Why would you ever use flash? Ajax all the way.
I guess there's no reason at all that a lot of whysiwig website creators, e.g. Webs, use flash? But I agree, AJAX would be better.
Why AJAX? It makes no sense, with AJAX you "communicate" with the server, you don't need that at all for a WYSIWYG editor.

AJAX is also a bad choice for uploading files since natively it's impossible. It uses flash or an iframe in order to upload the file.
