lol "the size" is 41 MB, this is the broadband age, that takes < 1 minute to download. Anyway, I'm downloading it right now. [QUOTE=Metanoia;21114177]A server of some sort (especially if you have multiple PCs). Learning networking stuff is good & getting inspired for multi-user app ideas is a lot easier[/QUOTE] I actually have a server sitting a few feet away from me right now. The problem is that it has no Internet card or anything, so I can't do a net install of Debian or Gentoo like I want to do. Even worse is that the bios only accepts PS/2 keyboards. That means Debian is out of the question as well unless I find a PS/2 keyboard. Gentoo boots up drivers at start for usb keyboards amongst other things, but again. No Internet. However, if you know of a good tutorial on sockets, it'd be great if you could share it. [editline]05:22PM[/editline] rickroll'd!
So what'd you think of it? :v:
oh shnap. I closed it. the music is still playing. [editline]05:24PM[/editline] it's good other than that AWESOME glitch. [editline]05:26PM[/editline] oh and I like the one included in bin/Release. it's named WindowsFormApplication1. It shows the video :3 and it has the hint button, which doesn't work.
Yeah, that one was kind of glitchy. Does it crash for you like it does for me? [editline]09:31PM[/editline] Also the correct number is 55904101, lol.
Nope. the first one is the one with the glitch. the music keeps playing after you close the app. [editline]05:32PM[/editline] lol @ the correct answer -> 55904101

If you mean a network card, [url=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833340008]cheap ones are very cheap[/url]. (I wouldn't really call a computer a "server" if it lacks a network card...)
41mb... The mp3 of the same song would have 5 mb or less, also there isn't really a need for the whole song, I doubt anyone will listen to it completely.

(I wouldn't really call a computer a "server" if it lacks a network card...)[/QUOTE] yeah, sorry. I meant a network card. It used to be plugged directly into the router, but now it's in a different room so that isn't an option. It has a network card like the one you linked, the problem is that I need a wireless card which it doesn't have. [editline]05:48PM[/editline] [QUOTE=Darwin226;21127352]41mb... [QUOTE=<ToD> Aaron;21127435]It used to be plugged directly into the router, but now it's in a different room so that isn't an option.[/QUOTE] I used to have an 80-foot Ethernet cable running from a router in the basement, through a ventilation pipe in the basement ceiling to its opening outside the house, along the side of the house (tucked under the siding to the corner), up the corner of the house to the second floor, and over and in my bedroom window to the computer on my desk. Spools of cat5e cable aren't too expensive; I bought a 1000-foot one for $45 (USD) a few years ago.
That's pretty crazy. Sounds like a lot of work just to plug it in. I think I'd rather just get something wireless tbh.
[QUOTE=<ToD> Aaron;21127435]No, I closed the window with the X button.[/QUOTE] Aye laddy, that'd be why.
