Some people have trouble running SFML apps , so I've heard. (hint hint Inzuki)
Whatcha talkin' 'bout?
OGL is too complicated for a feeble mind like mine. :(
Whatcha talkin' 'bout?
Whatcha talkin' 'bout?
SFML has a higher-level abstraction of graphic operations than OpenGL. Or simply: SFML is easier than OpenGL, since you have to care about less yourself and don't need to know as much about CG.
You don't. I'm not trying to be too harsh here, but why are you developing for .NET knowing nothing about it?
I know enough about .net for what I'm trying to do (writing games with xna, interfacing my upcomming arduino and writing file sharing applications for me and my friend) But as you can see I never ever used external libraries except for xna. And if you read some post after my post you would have read that I thought luainterface was made in c++ but its made in c# so now it won't be a problem because I know how to compile that ;)
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99765/23725435.png[/img_thumb] lightmaps next!
I actually always wanted to do something like this. Too bad I have no idea how to :saddowns:
I actually always wanted to do something like this. Too bad I have no idea how to :saddowns:
I was exactly the same before I started using OpenGL, now everything is obvious.
I actually always wanted to do something like this. Too bad I have no idea how to :saddowns:

They are very easy to parse, you only need to use a few of the lumps to draw the level geometry. Here's all the references Ive used so far: Unofficial Quake 3 Map Specs: http://www.mralligator.com/q3/ Rendering Quake 3 Maps: http://graphics.cs.brown.edu/games/quake/quake3.html Loading and Rendering Quake 3 Arena Maps: http://www.vicampus.com/index.php?action=showtutorial&id=8 Lightmaps in Quake 3 Arena: http://www.vicampus.com/index.php?action=showtutorial&id=9
Unless you mean you don't know how to draw 3D geometry...

I hate open boots. :rimshot:
I hate open boots. :rimshot:
I hate not understanding things, then rating Programming king because it seems to be the right thing to do. :v:
He is making a bootloader on the ipad from the looks of things, one that is open source. Looks like it is printing out data from the dock connector. In other story's on my lua scripting game i just added multi line input though Left Ctrl-Space.
Hmmm, installing Android in dual boot with iOS uh ? pretty neat. Especially on an ipad
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99765/23725435.png[/img_thumb] lightmaps next!
need moar AA and AF
Hexxeh how the fuck did you find another flaw in iBoot, I thought Apple went chuck norris on the code after the 3G
Do your parents know about your habits, Austech?
Looking back comment is kinda douchey, sorry Austech :(
need moar AA and AF
There already is AA and AF in that screenshot... NINJAD :argh:
[img_thumb]http://cl.ly/3C9q/content[/img_thumb] Rouuuund 2, FIGHT!
I loled
Any reason it's not left shift + enter like most other things?
Fixed, thanks for the suggestion. Also locals work inside of it, that is useful.
[img_thumb]http://cl.ly/3C9q/content[/img_thumb] Rouuuund 2, FIGHT!
How close are you to being able to boot an image.
I might get an iPad when V2 comes out and hopefully has a higher resolution screen, and no massive inch thick border all the way round.
I might get an iPad when V2 comes out and hopefully has a higher resolution screen, and no massive inch thick border all the way round.
They cost a fucking ton. For what it costs to get an iPad I could buy a mid-high end gaming PC...
I am thinking a full HD screen would be very nice on the iPad, and a half decent graphics chip to power the lot.
They cost a fucking ton. For what it costs to get an iPad I could buy a mid-high end gaming PC...
Also this. Apple weren't kidding with the "at an unbelievable price" tag line.
Also this. Apple weren't kidding with the "at an unbelievable price" tag line.
Apple's prices are always unbelievable. I hate to join the Apple hate bandwagon but I haven't seen ANY of their products at a reasonable price.
Probably a very biased article, but relevant: http://daringfireball.net/2010/11/apples_pricing_advantage
Probably a very biased article, but relevant: http://daringfireball.net/2010/11/apples_pricing_advantage
Lol "Prices are not much different with unsubsidized prices." Right after he says the Nexus One was 529$ when it was being sold compared to 599$ or 699$ way 2 bias. 70$ or 170$ is HUGE.
I fount out about fmod's getWaveData() function. I was testing it out and I think that this will be a fun thing to take advantage of. ^ Drawing the wave data, also known as an oscilloscope.
They cost a fucking ton. For what it costs to get an iPad I could buy a mid-high end gaming PC...
My parents recently bought me an iPad as an early Christmas gift. And one for my sister. Still don't have a Mac to program things for it, and I don't plan on it. I heard Objective-C is bad anyways, no? :v:
