Yes, yes, the colours suck, but I don't see that the particles would be distracting unless they went past really fast or something.

I use those colors because I'm blind.

Also I think it just seems distracting since you're only able to view pictures of it and videos. But when you play it (which hopefully will be soon), you'll realize that you won't be looking at the particles or background at all.
