wxWidgets uses so-called sizers: http://neume.sourceforge.net/sizerdemo/
Isn't there something like when you use dialogs instead of frames? In dialog mode i could just drag them around.
Nope that's pretty typical.
Really? The most I got were like 20-30% increases.

Have you built any big game projects?
They become literally unplayable in debug with less than 3fps (While release is still getting easily over 100).
No, I haven't but Shammah's game is hardly a big game project as it is now.
Yeah that's true but its heavy with lots of collision checks
Edit
Here's an update from me, not that impressive though:

Starting to integrate Lua into our project and added a Lua console. Not that impressive because I didn't make the console I just stole it from here. But I've change the code a little bit.
In other news I won a research internship with iVec which will be happening over the summer holidays (dec-jan). You could nominate 3 projects when applying and the one I was offered is basically designing and programming a way to do collective analysis on a number of images produced using-actually I don't know what the fuck I'm saying just read the blurb:
Confocal microscopy is a common tool in biomedical research, but new ways of using the microscope to gain different
types of data continue to be invented. We use the microscope to determine the proximity of fluorescent molecules separated
by less than 100 Å, well below the optical resolution, using the technique known as Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET).
Normally, many control experiments have to be conducted to correct the data gathered in this way. In contrast, since the development
of spectral detectors and continuous wavelength light sources, we have suggested the use of 3-dimensional spectral deconvolution
as a way of gaining accurate data while avoiding needing all the control measurements. This method, however, results in the
gathering of hundreds of images that have to be collectively analysed.
The aim of this project is to bring this new method to reality by constructing and programming a way to do this collective analysis.
Ideally the results will combine multiple microscope images (probably 50 to 100) and perform spectral deconvolution to create a new
image containing the proximity data. Most likely this analysis can be done by developing a plugin to the java based open source ImageJ
image analysis program, but other approached can be discussed. The project will involve a large degree of programming so experience
in this area is required. If successful, the resulting method is likely to find application in a large number of research laboratories.
Should be lots of fun (get to use iVecs super computers ) and an awesome bit to put on my CV.
It's not meant as a code editor, at the moment, though. Just a Text Editor better than Notepad. Maybe people will use it instead of Notepad in youtube movies when they try to show off Runescape cheats! :v:
Better than notepad, but at the moment it's still inferior to Wordpad. Yes, wordpad still exists, apparently.
Isn't there something like when you use dialogs instead of frames? In dialog mode i could just drag them around.
Hm, I don't remember, haven't used wxWidgets in a while. But I think there was a way to sort of disable sizers and just use absolute positions.
EDIT: Are you using an editor? Because the editor might not support absolute positioning.
That's doesn't seem right. I mean, I know release build is supposed to be faster but that's WAAAY too much.
In debug mode additional checks are performed for safety reasons. For example an std::vector in microsoft's standard library implementation, will perform bounds checking on index lookups (operator[]). Since he has 250 bullets, probably stored in a vector, the difference in performance is easily explained by the extra bounds checks.
Should i redo my crafting code to allow unlimited items in crafting recipes? (current code is pretty bad and not to mention hard coded in some areas)

What I plan to do for RTAdventure today. Most of it is really simple to do, though. And I don't plan on implementing thirst etc. fully, yet. :woop:

Man, now I feel like adding shit to my todo-list :D
Lately I haven't heard anything new about Kari. Whats going on?
Just an idea, but how about you ask in the Kari thread?
Maybe it'd be easier to notice your post that way.

Um turb_ is banned for a long time?
A long long time
And he doesn't post about Kari in the Refugee Camp? What a shame.

Turb has five alts.
Of which I believe a few have been banned for posting under the influence.
Yeah and what's the chance he's going to post about kari on those?
None, because his alt would get banned
Yeah and what's the chance he's going to post about kari on those?

He's linked to the profiles of all his alts in some post of his.
What's the chances that they aren't banned already, and if they aren't, that they will be. If he was permabanned, it probably was mostly a gold member revoke.
If I recall, his alts are just:
turb_
turb__
turb___
etc. :v:

"Ability to examine items in inventory"
and

so far. :woop:
Nothing that warrants a screenshot, though.
