I don't think its fair that you advertise USD pricing but are infact selling servers from a DC in Germany. I do however find it funny you host your main site in the states while you provide hosting for clients thousands of miles away. I'll leave it at this, if your in Europe Fanatical is a great solution with a owner that stands by his name. If your in America then its absolutely not a good solution and is absolutely useless for game servers or low latency application. I mean no disrespect what so ever to Fanatical, I've been in this industry many years now, having a high latency when advertised locally (USD Currency) will give you bad reputation. Unhappy customers are 130% more likely to speak up than satisfied customers..
Bullshit. There's loads of hosts with server around the world selling in USD. There's one simple reason we use USD, and that's because the American market almost always uses USD based providers, I remember reading about it somewhere. Secondly, it's pretty clear on the website that the servers are located in Germany. The site is in the US because it's free hosting, and stays online if the VPS nodes go down.

Please tell me the billing system is not on that same server.
You host a website that people pay money to on free hosting? Seriously? Please tell me the billing system is not on that same server.
What the fuck are you talking about? You sound extremely ignorant.
What the fuck are you talking about? You sound extremely ignorant.
Free hosting + credit card processing / account management / address information. You think shared/free web hosting is secure?
You host a website that people pay money to on free hosting? Seriously? Please tell me the billing system is not on that same server.
It's free because it's a friends server. Also, we don't store any credit details ourself, all payments are via Google Checkout or Paypal currently. Please stop bashing us.
What about for Australia.
Free hosting + credit card processing / account management / address information. You think shared/free web hosting is secure?
Get the fuck out. The man has logic. [editline]05:19PM[/editline]
Please tell me the billing system is not on that same server.
:downsbravo: Paypal.
VisBits, you're a moron. Not everyone needs super low ping, we don't all host gameservers. USD is used by nearly every server host because it's virtually the international currency. I live in Australia and I have a server in New York and a VPS in Germany. The latency is shit for me, but amazing for the rest of the world. My point is, unless someone is hosting a latency sensitive application, such as a game server, server location is about where you can get good connectivity for a good price, not ping timings.
-;22295915']It's free because it's a friends server. Also, we don't store any credit details ourself, all payments are via Google Checkout or Paypal currently. Any way of telling what it may roughly be like for us beforehand?
Fizzadar I really want to use your vps, only issue is I need a server in the US.
Get the fuck out. The man has logic. [editline]05:19PM[/editline] :downsbravo: Paypal.
SO if the shared hosting gets exploited and the database which has all of your emails, address and contact information get dumped into a spammers hands your ok with that? Use your head, I didn't think I needed to babysit you through the concept, I guess I was wrong about that.
I'm a proud fanatical vps customer, and honestly, I really couldn't give a shit if my details were leaked. Firstly, it's not going to happen - you don't know the arrangement and while I certainly don't either, if my intuition is right, it's not in any danger of exploitation. Secondly, it's not like my details aren't already in Whois.

My old boss used to do smaller end server hosting and even he had an $8,000 cisco network security system. I'm sure most larger end hosts have much better, especially shared hosts, since they cater to so many clients.
Application firewalls are about as useful as magic_quotes.

So about that big fancy firewall...

Hostmonster is awesome, I've had an account with them for 2 years, they always have great support and all the features you need, plus unlimited everything within reason.
I do not approve of this ban. [/Unwarranted self-importance flaunt]
Just stop
Just stop
Door for ADHD treatment is that way.
No really, you are getting pointless and annoying like me.
Is that a bad thing? :saddowns:
Like I've said in the other thread, stop.
Fizzadar is there a way I can test one of your VPS's? I basically want to see if it's > my current one. :v:
Fizzadar is there a way I can test one of your VPS's? I basically want to see if it's > my current one. :v:
If you buy it now you can test it for a week, if you cancel before the week ends you get your money back
