File name or file size won't do.
Why would you even suggest those as options?
Why would you even suggest those as options?
Some people thinks that's enough, glad he doesn't though.
md5_file
md5_file
Surely that's really CPU-intensive, if you get more traffic would it be worth sacrificing the diskspace for CPU speed?
It's not intensive with files of less than 6MB.
md5 is fast
Surely that's really CPU-intensive, if you get more traffic would it be worth sacrificing the diskspace for CPU speed?
Huh?
Surely that's really CPU-intensive, if you get more traffic would it be worth sacrificing the diskspace for CPU speed?
What...
He's probably thinking of SHA-256/512, which is less then half as fast.
[root@web3 zimg.eu]# php -f test.php 100mb.bin md5'ed in 0.2866849899292 seconds. [root@web3 zimg.eu]# :eng101:
Fast.
Between 8/11 seconds on a dual-core laptop for a 900mb file. (md5_file)
You need to preload that hover image.
Huh? It's one file.

But its so pretty! Anyway, my offer still stands.
Goddammit BrettJay, you didn't even give me the time to start a design. :saddowns:
Goddammit BrettJay, you didn't even give me the time to start a design. :saddowns:
I'm sorry :saddowns: But surely it would have been worse if you'd already spent hours on your own design.
Nice to see you finished it, Brett. Looks awesome. [editline]17th December 2010[/editline] I don't particularly like the "information" icon that lets you know what the upload sizes and file types allowed are. Maybe that's just me. [editline]17th December 2010[/editline] I also think if you do a quick extension check when the upload form changes (while keeping the server check), you can then disable the Upload button.
type="file multiple"
It's html5 so It'll only work in new browsers but it's backwards compatible.
A progressbar would be nice, but isn't really needed.
A progressbar would be nice, but isn't really needed.
It's really too fast for a progress bar.
