I'm trying to find a good quality yet free gun shot sound that would work for an AK-47 that I can use without being sued. :v:

Just Google around for free 'no-strings attached' sounds. :v:
If I actually work on it long enough to consider selling it (:v:) then I might as well look for something not licensed and free...:j:
Except that the reason you'd want to use a free sound is something that hasn't happened and isn't likely to happen.
Space Invaders for my AP Computer Science project. v:v:v

I died. :(

There is so much bullshit on this page regarding VAC, I don't know where to start.
Except that the reason you'd want to use a free sound is something that hasn't happened and isn't likely to happen.
And why are you correct?
I decided to start working on a MUD of my own. I have some basic server-client functionality down with a framework set up for adding commands. I'm going to have to start storing data soon, like accounts, maps, items and NPCs, so I'll need to choose a fileformat to do so. I'm leaning towards JSON, but I thought I'd see if any of you had any suggestions.
Make your own, simple.
Make your own, simple.
I could use key-value pairs for now, but I don't know how long I'll stick with this project. In the future I'll probably need something a little more advanced, so it might make more sense to start with something that offers all the functionality I'll need.
And why are you correct?
?
What you said was like "Well if I put 10 years into this, I might as well invest 100,000 dollars" except that you haven't invested 10 years, nor are you likely to.
It's not even difficult to switch out the sounds if you went commercial...

-snip- Just use system time

For problem nine on project Euler I made a little program that can solve any perimeter, solve as in find right triangles with whole number sides.

Here's one for 123456

It's sooooo unoptimized. That took like 20 minutes to find. (and hey look it is a 3:4:5 triangle)
I was thinking of making something like this http://www.codeproject.com/KB/directx/Overlay_Tools.aspx?fid=469064&df=90&mpp=25&noise=3&sort=Position&view=Quick&select=2292296 But having some worries of if that could get you VAC/PB banned doing it that way... Could that? or is it Hooking/reading from memory that would get you banned?
VAC:
Editing dlls and exes - ban
Using public hacks that are in the database - ban
Editing memory - instant kick if it causes inconsistencies
Reading memory - can't detect
[editline]08:35AM[/editline]
Posting on steam forums about hacking - ban
Running into a valve dev in-game while hacking - ban
If I actually work on it long enough to consider selling it (:v:) then I might as well look for something not licensed and free...:j:
No offense, but why would people buy your game? Unless it is top quality, which actually deserves money, then yeah, sell it. Otherwise ask for donations.
It's what i'm doing for Arcadium ( The Geometry Wars type game ).
VAC:

Are you sure that's right? If so then it's possible to create an undetectable wallhack.
haha
If so then it's possible to create an undetectable wallhack.
Yeah, it's called replacing textures
Are you sure that's right? If so then it's possible to create an undetectable wallhack.
With the same ease that wall textures can be made transparent. (Yes I already know this can be prevented with sv_pure, no need to tell me)
Anyone any good at C++ looking for some contract work? We're looking for people to work on Botch.

Damn... I'd love to, but I'm nowhere near good enough just yet :v:
Maybe in a few years!

Hah, thanks. It's generated randomly when the game loads.

It is? Because that looks exactly like my desktop wallpaper.

Out of curiosity, what type of C++ work? Your jobs for the web development and design are very specific, but I don't see any information on the C++ work.

It's not exactly a rare image...
Just a load of slightly different shaded squares

I know on todays computers you're crappy way would still finish faster than you could blink, but it's very inefficient.

Mind pointing out what I spelled wrong?
It's not so much bad spelling as bad grammar, but there you go. That's what you spelt wrongly. (Because if it was as is, it'd be "on todays computer you are crappy way" and that'd just be mean )
It is? Because that looks exactly like my desktop wallpaper.
Yep, I just have it look like the one I found. It creates grays within a defined range and writes them to a buffered image and then puts a gradient over top of it.

drawingGraphics.setColor(new Color(blockColor, blockColor, blockColor));
