Steam -> OSW(Or w/e) -> Server application -> Client application
Exactly this :v:
Hey guys, this is my first "serious" game attempt :) It's written in C++ and SFML, and because my art is even worse than Programmers Art I have to use shapes :v: It works out pretty well though! Ofcourse it's not done yet and I have a lot to do, but if you want to you can try it here [editline]18:41[/editline] Oh and, you control the snake with the arrow keys :)
I'm still working away at my 2D game engine, trying to get dialogue to work now. I'm having it read a .dlg file, which contains the lines of dialogue it needs to display. Im finding it complicated, but i'm getting there slowly!
I don't think any one has the right to claim the style, or the idea. It's like telling people not to make pong.
It comes down to people feeling like their work is unappreciated because a more experienced person took their idea and did it better, or released a version 1 before they did. I still haven't posted anything about my project for this reason.
Don't know why people are complaining about copying Arcadium. To be frank, the art is pretty cliched to begin with.
Yeah we'll all get ripped for copying Geometry Wars anyway.
I hope my crappy remake is safe :downs:
edit: fuck too late
In my game, you now play as the protagonist, Mr. Square shooting your rotating squares against the advancing horde of evil Green circles. v:v:v

I've seen it a few times and always wondered what it is.
What's that thing on your title bar? I've seen it a few times and always wondered what it is.
It just tells me how many objects are getting rendered to the screen. :P
Yeah, not worries Joshyy, I'll diverge a bit. :P I was just planning on having some fun with particle rendering since I liked your game so much. :v:
Heh, thanks mate. Particle rendering is extremely fun :v: [editline]06:32AM[/editline]
Wow, after playing Arcadium I have to say our games are strikingly similar. Doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you! :D Besides, mine's only in Flash so far ;)
Considering how I never saw this project or played it, there's no way I ripped it :v: So, doesn't bother me. [editline]06:32AM[/editline]
Don't know why people are complaining about copying Arcadium. To be frank, the art is pretty cliched to begin with.
Only reason I did, is because it's an actual project that I get graded on. If it was any other project, I wouldn't really care if they copied.
Only reason I did, is because it's an actual project that I get graded on. If it was any other project, I wouldn't really care if they copied.
But if they were that specific about copying surely you'd get called out on copying geometry wars?
