Well to stop this from derailing, anyone has experience with installing xna on windows 7, I recently installed it on vista with no problem only this time it installs to about 50 % and uninstalls it and just says it encountered a error. It does not give me any warning or error at all.
btw. I'm asking it here because maybe some other programmer like myself had this problem and already solved it.
I installed XNA with no errors, I'm running Windows 7 64bit.

I also have Windows 7 64 bit. I installed visual C# just fine but for some reason the xna setup just stops and reverts back the installation :(
I'm not going to say it will fix it but are you running the installer as administrator?
I run windows XP, I really need to get something better though. XNA installed fine for me though.

tried it in compatibility mode and normal mode with administrator.

Look I was thinking of making a Help me thread. But I was obviously beaten to it.The main reason is that most of the threads here that are about questions that get answered for a couple of posts.I mean its just like little simple questions ? why not make it neater and turn it into a thread. So in total: Good idea,but not realized to well(I'm talking about this thread). Plus you guys went a bit overboard...I mean I can see he is dumb,but you could have been a bit softer maybe ? I dunno...maybe I don't know all of the stuff he's done :\ ? So if you guys want we can finish this thread/leave it alone and me make a v2/new one? I'll try and make it better because it is a nice idea.

So I know absolutely NOTHING about java. however I know a [i]little[/i] of C++. And I started making a game with unity. And every single tutorial I can find is barely helpful at all. Just tosses in the basics (or is the opposite and is overly complicated) and doesnt help me with what i need. So do you guys know any good tutorials? OR could point me in the right direction on how to make an object follow the player? any help is appreciated and remember. I know [u]nothing[/u] about java.
