Hey it's an ideas guy.
I'm adequate but not the best at coding, would a WYSIWYG like DreamWeaver work for something like this?
I can't help but feel as if I've seen this somewhere else before... Not talking about iGoogle.
Okay so I have an EXTREMELY basic version up (I've only spent about 20 minutes total on it) and running (on my public dropbox) here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10554250/Cumu_Home.html (I named it Cumulatus by the way, latin word for complete) but I've run into a couple problems so far: 1. Using a Google custom search I can only search one website (set to my shitty blog right now). How would I set it to search the entire web (like regular Google). 2. When the results appear they only show up in the frame I've set for the search box, how would I set it to open results in a full sized window or preferably a new tab? 3. Facebook's being a bitch about opening it in a frame, any ideas on an alternative? Thanks!

This would work better as an addon for firefox/chrome/safari/opera. Fuck IE. Also reminds me of Opera's start screen, which is available as Speed Dial addon for both Chrome and Firefox

Oh. Now I see it. I'm sorry I cannot believe I missed that. Thanks so much for pointing that out! [editline]30th January 2011[/editline]
<FRAME src="http://www.http://m.facebook.com/home.php?_rdr"> http://www.http://m.facebook.com/home.php http://www.http://
Okay I fixed that (I cannot believe I missed it), and I removed the "/home.php?rdr" because it was giving me problems, so now it's just http://www.m.facebook.com, and it works for about a half a second, then the frame just goes to a blank white. Ideas?
bah, better to waste your time on something else...this idea has been implemented to death. The truth is, people do fine with tabbed browsing and full screen windows in general. It's great for multitasking. But how often do you really use 4 windows at once on your computer? I usually maximize one program on each of my monitors and then just use the task bar to switch (or alt+tab).
