New Axon US node is up, we offer TRUE unmetered, we will never suspend for bandwidth usage. We also offer a 7 day money back guarantee.
Can I get one of your VPS, download 1TB files all day for a week, and then get my money back?

And then sign up again?

No, because we have to share our line out to clients, and we do suspend to make sure all clients get an equal share.

We will never suspend for bandwidth usage, but we will suspend if you hog too much of the 100Mb/s line, we have a guy who has used 2.6TB already this month, he is fine because it's not a constant connection.
Oh, fair enough, I sort of took the 'we will never suspend' out of context at the end there :v:
but bandwidth use is directly relational to line usage.
but bandwidth use is directly relational to line usage.
Bandwidth as the amount your VPS downloads or uploads, yes this does relate to the line usage but like I said, the person using 2.6TB upto now, he doesn't use a constant stupid amount of line speed so it is fine.
then what's the maximum constant throughput a VPS is allowed to pull? if it's 10Mb/s then that's a "limit" of 2.5TB/m in bandwidth.
We don't have a set maximum, just not enough to effect everyone elses VPS. This is what it is at currently.

Fanatical's policies seem to keep the throughput to a minimum, this is the most populated node:

You can't provide unmetered bandwidth and then meter the throughput. It doesn't make any sense. Bandwidth is the amount of throughput in a certain time, so if it's unmetered the throughput should be too :s
So basically:
1) Provide unmetered bandwidth
2) Meter bandwidth
3) Disconnect the clients who actually use unmetered bandwidth
Either you're an idiot or you're very dodgy. Either way I'm not buying your services lol.

That's not really the policies, simply the usage by VPS's. I've seen it around 80 from time to time, it really depends what clients are doing what.
As I've said before, the policy is only there to protect VPS's from overloading the NIC.
People, you're forgetting how "unmetered bandwidth" works.
It's like that service that sells 500GB of bandwidth or an unmetered 5Mbit. This works the same way due to fair policies.
The "unmetered" simply refers to the fair usage, in this case the 5Mbit.
Back on topic though, I can't survive with a 5Mbit or a strict fair policy, and so I'm so far going with evoservers.
I must be a lucky one then.

My VPS is the best.
What is it with this unmetered shit? Why not either put a clear limit on it, and be transperant, or ACTUALLY have unmetered, where I could download and upload LITERALY as much as I want? Why the "we have TRUE unmetered", and then in fine print "well actually, you have to stick to x and y limits or we cut your balls off"?

The meaning unmetered has been altered in the hosting world, technically all hosting is metered in some way, if by a router/switch or just the quality of the line. Hosts use unmetered to mean "unlimited usage on xmbps port (with/without burst to xmbps)", which could be described as metered at xmbps with burst. But then it's easier to use "unmetered", which is what everyone does.
I love the "If everybody's lying, I can lie too" philosophy.
Is Fanatical VPS's Unmetered actually unmetered?
It's unmetered to the point of fair policy just like everyone else, now let's get back on topic.
European VPS'es with the minimum specs of the requirements in OP.
I daily check lowendbox but none of it is european or matches the requirements. :frown:
http://yardvps.com/ is cheap and really good, not European though.

Oh look, two representatives from different service providers having a pissing contest. :v:
I'm sorry, but I don't side with either of you there; I like people providing a service to act professional. You're calling him out on his bullshit, rightfully so, but just be aware how it comes across.
I also helped point out some spelling mistakes on his site and he told me to piss off...

And this is how not to do it.
Of all of the people who could possibly pull something like that, you're not really the appropriate person to do so.
Unprofessional.
I hate professionalism, but can't the industry have a little self-respect.

Web hosting is a "Get Rich Quick" on the internet. Literally anyone with a Paypal, a computer, and an internet connection can do it.

Oh I know; that's basically what I'm complaining about as it damages the image of the industry somewhat (but so do the huge shared-hosters totting "unlimited" everything and tying clients into 12 month contracts).
Much of the unprofessional bitch fights that go occur in the hosting world are down to get rich quick teens.
