Hey,
Nobody likes the "lawl i write program delete all files it so funny xD i good hacker" kid.
Any idiot can write one of them.
It takes intelligence
A) Not to
B) To make something usefull instead.
Hey,
Hey,
Stop it.
Thanks in advance,

I don't even sort the A* open list anymore because it creates awesome straight edges like those ones. It's still slow and I don't understand why though. I will implement the heap tomorrow, but I'm not sure how much performance gain it will give me over a List<T> since I don't even sort it anymore.
I had a go at my own dungeon generator. It's not as good, but much faster.
How to commit suicide with a python program:
I wrote a directory tree explorer in python. I found it fun, so I added that it would delete each file it would encounter.
I ran it on my dad's pc. When he discovered, he grabbed me by the neck and almost chocked me, simpsons style.
My neck still hurts.
I would buy a title for you that links to that post to show facepunch that you're an idiot h4ck3r d00d that pwn3d his dads pc and got beaten afterwards, but I won't because buying titles is stupid.

Wow that's really cool. How would one go about doing this? I would like to try it after I'm done my maze program.

pause, play, stop, fast forward, reverse, next song, previous song, playlists instead of favorates.

I suggested this in his thread, apparently it fell on deaf ears
I think I helped him quite a lot, mainly by re-designing the entire user interface

Personally I hate it when programs remove the titlebar, because half the time that hides all the notifications.
Finally removed all those random pesky boxes. Its a proper maze now. Now for random entrances and exits.

How long did that stress test take to generate?
548 milliseconds.

The algorithm isn't entirely mine. It's based on this: http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.php?title=Basic_BSP_Dungeon_generation

That looks much better than the old one with the shitty background.
Personally I hate it when programs remove the titlebar, because half the time that hides all the notifications.
The title bar is the dark gray bar that would only show the app name, he did hide that. I think you were talking about the notification bar, in that case I can't agree more.

As complained about by countless people, the buttons are a bit ugly, and don't fit well with the rest of the updated design. Also, that play page is pretty empty, do you think you could rip comments and display them?

Yes, I linked it 3 posts above yours. :v:

I know, the quality is horrible. I screen-recorded it, but whenever I tried uploading the video, it came out green... that's it. Completely green.
I finally got objects working, and I figured out how to store their locations! Next up is random map and object creation and the inventory.
Hey,

And you used A* for this, right?
:v:
Sorry, but I am still dumbfounded as to where A* came into the dungeon generation.
Accidently posted this in "What do you need help with?"
I was looking through my old files, and I found a game I had made in game maker.
Some of the levels are literally impossible.
I stole the music from doom.
I tried to sell it for $2.99
Here it is: http://anyhub.net/file/1JLD-plane-fury.exe
ignore the devc++, it's the only thing that works through wine for me.
Why not use something native to Linux like Code::Blocks or CodeLite?
actually said in what do you need help with, doesn't work through wine. And I hardly call gamemaker programming.
Hey!
I'll have you know that there are thousands of lines of code in that application!
[sp]They're just in game maker[/sp]
Sure, Gamemaker might not be programming, but to some people it brings enjoyment.
For example, the syntax of Blitz3D is horrendous and the performance of the 3D engine is dog shit, but I've lost count of the number of hours I spent using it in my youth.
I made a screen saver featuring the best song in the history of mankind.
well, because I want to develop for windows, and my main computer runs windows 7 but this computer can't handle windows without huge lagg, so I just use this as a secondary computer to do small projects on.

good idea, will it run on "made for windows vista" hardware?
It'll run on a Pentium 2 with 64MB RAM
yeah, I meant driver-wise, spec-wise
Of course.
