My progress on doing something similar to this: Next up: Runways
A link to the code would probably be useful for anyone wanting to check it out.
Oh right :downs: Where can I upload it? Or would a plain .txt be fine?
Put it up on dropbox or whatever if it's more than one file. If it's just one file then you could just do it in
tags
Put it up on dropbox or whatever if it's more than one file. If it's just one file then you could just do it in
tags
Are you sure I can put it in
tags? It's 99 lines and I don't want to stretch the page too much.
Are you sure I can put it in
tags? It's 99 lines and I don't want to stretch the page too much.
That's why I said
and not [cpp] tags - code tags add scrollbars :)
Are you sure I can put it in
tags? It's 99 lines and I don't want to stretch the page too much.
The code box has a set height and after that height it just adds scroll bars. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Fuck you god damn ninja fuck
Or use a public paste bin like http://pastebin.com/

Look what i've just found... http://www.rastamouse.com/
Look what i've just found... http://www.rastamouse.com/
What
http://pastebin.com/t82W61sf
I think you forgot the part where Europe is part of the world.
Also wmap.png and the font if anyone wants to compile. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2670708/even%20more%20folders/progarmming/files.zip [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Updated the pastepin. Europe is now a continent, changed the filepath. And a little commenting.
Working on a game with time travel/parallel dimension thingy (call it what you want). Right now I got the backtracking working: Excuse the crappy programmer art :v: It's kinda hard to explain right now, but I want to do a puzzle platformer with it. You do something, travel back and continue doing something else, while a copy of yourself does what you did before. It's just a prototype right now, but it will improve very fast.
Thanks Chris220 :buddy:
Updated the pastepin. Europe is now a continent, changed the filepath. And a little commenting.
You know, when you repaste something the URL changes.
You know, when you repaste something the URL changes.
Nope, I didn't know that. I'll update with a new URL in 5 minutes.
that's a really good idea! if implemented correctly this could make a very good selling game!
Now I might be wrong here, but I am pretty sure Braid is exactly that.
Now I might be wrong here, but I am pretty sure Braid is exactly that.
And chronotron, which I just linked to.
Added all the other continents! http://pastebin.com/fkW4JMMZ Any ideas as to how to make it better? Perhaps something visual, less number-ish?
Thanks Chris220 :buddy:
No problem, I only wish I had a better camera at my disposal
Seems to work fine, just got to level 6, you have to return to the time pod, and press space.
http://www.kongregate.com/games/Scarybug/chronotron
Yeah, something similar like that. I knew I wasn't the first with that idea. Thanks for the link, reference material is always good :v:
Now I might be wrong here, but I am pretty sure Braid is exactly that.
I think Braid is a little different. I have never played it, but I think you get several different mechanics to work with. What I also want to do is interactions with yourself, such as you have to throw yourself to a switch or something like that. Click here to download my minecraft server, with full source code. I spent 30 minutes last night making it not crash due to protocol changes, but there are apparently a few unhandled packets so it still needs a bit of work to become stable again. The last time I updated it was way before notch added dispensers. You can do what you like with it, good luck.
Thanks Chris220 :buddy:
Is that a guitar on your ceiling?
Is that a guitar on your ceiling?
A better question would be; "Why is there a guitar on your ceiling?"
Nobody gets their first game published :v:
Who needs publishing when you have the internet and paypal. (just remember to declare it as a business account and not a personal one :v:)
