The comments in Facewound are quite funny in places [cpp] // if shell spawns in landscape, fuck it off [/cpp] [editline]0[/editline] [cpp] m_ShootCycle=1; // this is bollocks now[/cpp] [editline]0[/editline] [cpp] // if fired by player - do a shit load of damage[/cpp]
The comments in Facewound are quite funny in places [cpp] // if shell spawns in landscape, fuck it off [/cpp]
I thought he didn't release the source code?
I thought he didn't release the source code?
I'd like to introduce you to that blob in the middle of your mouse. It allows you to slide the page up and down. Once you've mastered the fine art of what we in the industry refer to as scrolling, you'll notice this further up the page:
I found the Facewound source code. It's bad. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3590255/Downloads/FacewoundSource.zip (~40mb)
:buddy:
I think you could rewrite facewound faster than fixing the compile errors, still pretty awesome releasing it.
Where the fuck is fmod.h?
http://www.fmod.org/
http://www.fmod.org/
Thanks.
Thanks.
That version is too new for Facewound. This is the only thing stopping it from working right now:
1>Landscape.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _gzread@12 1>Landscape.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _gzclose@4 1>Landscape.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _gzopen@8 1>.\Release/fwound.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 3 unresolved externals
I compiled zlib and linked it, but it just won't work. I even tried adding the respective .c files to the project. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] Found out it tried to use Garry's zlib headers. I decided to try an exercise to see if I could write my color printing library in C (just for fun). It was a lot easier though I guess it's because I had the actual meat of it done. Still, it was fun. I think I'll go through and do this for my other libraries. (yes even the pool allocator :v:) You can find it here. It works like printf. There's an example in the example folder, and a smaller one right there on the landing page (in the readme).
I just finished placing units in my upcoming planet style RTS. Now I need to work on collision, but I want to use a image that will be the exact dimensions of the building. Time to go make programmer art.
I can't get this version of Facewound to read the map files properly for some reason. This version is way older than the one found on www.facewound.com anyway. Someone just needs to rewrite it completely.
I would but my programming abilities have been going down the gutter :frown:
What are you rewriting? v15
What are you complaining about? v15
What are you de-railing with v.15

Not exactly content...
I would but my programming abilities have been going down the gutter :frown:
Same here, actually. I haven't worked on anything in a while and I'm getting rusty.

Completely off topic, but my friend, who knows nothing about programming, says he converted Garrys Mod to xBox 360 via programming. I asked him what language he used, he said javascript. I pointed out his error, then he said his friend did it.

Anyways, there would be no point. No mods, maps, or any other content.
