Started using Aptana for PHP and SublimeText for HTML, CSS & JS. Really nice and convenient method.
Here's a normal playlist for when I'm working:

Fun facts

I've been doing "webdevelopement/design" since 2006, yet I only know the basics of HTML, CSS and PHP

I'm not really contributing anything useful to this section, yet I lurk here most the time

This section is propably the most polite one of facepunch, seriously if you're not a dick everyone is friendly

I don't know why I wrote this

Oh and I mostly listen to 90s hip hop, trip hop, reggae or anything else which sounds "chill" to me, which is a lot.
-snip, urgh-

Just a couple of songs I'll have on with grooveshark while working on something, anybody have any suggestions of music that I should add?
Added The Social Network soundtrack and listening to that right now, fucking awesome.
Have a listen to the album 'Welcome to the Monkey House', by the Dandy Warhols

I usually listen to Techno/House and checked out some of that music most of it by Arcade Fire. :3 I think I have a new favourite genre. Thanks!

Oh god, The Dandies, I used to love them :v: Many a design of mine has been made to their albums. Also, they're coming to Australia for a tour this May, yesss.
Holy shitballs, I just went for a second interview at Blue ICT. I am going for the website development job. Out of the 14 candidates there are 4 left, that is including me. I'll get the result Monday.
It basically was an assesment. They gave me 2 cases. Both with fake clients. The first client wanted to upgrade osCommerce 2.2 to osCommerce 2.3 (do NOT attempt this. You will have to go to an insane asylum.) The second client wanted Wordpress with NextGEN Gallery (which was easy as shit.)
You had to keep up an log of everything you do, keep contact with the client through e-mail, and keep contact with the manager of Blue ICT.
It was fun to do, took me 4 hours. The company itself is quite small, with 8 employees, and it's a lot of fun to work there.

That sounds like a pretty terrible job if we extrapolate the work you'll be doing from those two tests - you're basically a glorified IT guy/configuration monkey.
This wasn't the job I'm going to do, they might come along, but I'll mostly do PHP development, creating websites from scratch. Also, I'm 16. These kind of job oppertunities don't come along a lot. And I enjoyed it there. Can't really be picky at my age.

Does sound like a pretty decent job for that age - just don't let yourself go stale, keep learning in and out of your job activities.
I'll be doing Game Development in Amsterdam, and I'll keep learning other languages.

you should participate in open source stuff. I'm 16 and my work on diaspora ended up getting my an internship out in San Francisco for Pivotal Labs!
I understand that working on open source is interesting, but I think this is a great way to build up experience in a company, which pays quite well.

I've got a question for you guys: Do you wireframe before designing layouts in photoshop? I think I might tomorrow in between classes on some grid paper let's see how it goes!

I don't do it every time, but it's good practice - it helps you get an idea of the layout, play around with different structures and better solve the problems at hand without having to juggle code or photoshop layers.
Yay just got a BSOD with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, turns out I have a faulty ram stick

Companies that make you jump through so many hoops just for a chance to get your foot in the door piss me off. There's so much more to being able to succeed in a job placement than pure technical skill.
Hell, the best year contract I ever had was off the back of a 45 second phone interview.

I just applied at a pretty easy job that earns well. If I really want to, I'll just apply at another ICT company, or do some freelancing.
Heh, I just had an email from someone asking if I'd sell my domain to them.
But they're a student. I wish it was [insert big company here]. :(

Meh, if it was [insert big company here] they'd just sue you and demand the rights.
