I AM the mature one here. All I seem to be receiving is severe criticism, when I asked for a little bit of good ole' assistance. Tyvm.

Some "might" consider it spam...... :D

I AM the mature one here.

Some "might" consider it spam...... :D
The Web Development subforums is one of the more mature parts of Facepunch (for the most part and with some important exceptions); we're just not mincing our words and telling you what you're planning to do is fucking stupid.
That's the whole point. Statistically, only a very small fraction of a percent will actually use it, but that fraction of a percent is still a huge number of people considering how many will receive the advert.
Statistically speaking, I'm 9001% less likely to go with a no-name web host, especially one that sends me unsolicited emails. One of the most important things for a business offering a service is to have a good reputation. Good word of mouth goes a long way, particularly in an era where uneducated school students with unethical business practices (ie: you) can set up web hosting in an attempt to make a quick buck, like so many fly-by-night hosting services offering the exact same thing (though hopefully not spamming like you intend to). Point being, spamming is going to destroy any reputation your service has and will hurt you in the long run. If you're actually interested in the long term, you shouldn't establish yourself as a service which is more interested in getting clients than providing a good service; spamming people shows where your priorities lie (clearly not with providing a good service for the customer; if you're willing to play the numbers game and spam millions of people for maybe a handful of clients, then you clearly don't give a shit about people past their money).
Most won't, some will. Just let me try what I want to try JEEZ [MOM I'M THIRTEEN NOW I'M A TEENAGER I CAN DO WHAT I WANT] such negative Nancies all up in this hood
You're reminding me of a kid whining to their parents, who're trying to dissuade them from doing something stupid because they know it's a bad idea. And yet we're the immature ones? heh.
Trust me, from personal experience it's not a good idea to fuck with the cyber-laws.
Tangara I hate you for rating this funny.
Tangara I hate you for rating this funny.
How is that going anyway? Did they drop it?
Don't be a dickhole like the last guy who spammed emails to a bunch of facepunchers talking about his shitty services
How is that going anyway? Did they drop it?
I'm hoping so. I haven't heard anything from anybody, what do you think? :ohdear:
I'm hoping so. I haven't heard anything from anybody, what do you think? :ohdear:
If it's been this long, I wouldn't be particularly worried. The only thing you gotta look out for is that all this is now associated with your real name.
I'm hoping so. I haven't heard anything from anybody, what do you think? :ohdear:
I personally think you will be fine, I don't think they will worry much as you didn't do any damage to the servers and they publicly stated there was exploits in the code. If it wasn't you it would have been someone else.
What an idiot. You do realise most people who open spam email probably won't know how the fuck domains and all that shit work.
You can't just harvest emails from public mailing lists and email everyone, that's called spam; unsolicited email. If they don't ask to be emailed, don't email them. It's fucking simple.
