HostDime sells dedicated servers which we installed cloud on with KVM. Are you suggesting we should become a RIPE member? Get our own IP block? Go flame the other million (good going) companies that are not RIPE partnered.
@Tangara, I'd rather reserve dedicated IP's for clients other than just throwing them away for the site.
Did you try to clear cache and flush DNS?
Why are your kernel versions different? In the screenshot you provided it's showing 2.6.18-294.26.1.el5.lve0.8.18 LVE CloudLinux Kernel.

However, in both SSH screenshots, the kernel is 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5.028stab081.1, the standard kernel for CentOS. AKA, the OS that was displayed in your very first screenshot.

So, the question remains: where did that CloudLinux server come from and why are the two primary servers (which you claimed to be CloudLinux) on CentOS?
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
Another funny thing is if you go to http://cp-us-2.hostingblast.net:2087/cpsess8924838908/?post_login=66181160518632 you get redirected to http://juliet.httphouse.com. Both of these URLs are on the same server (173.234.60.58). If you go to cp-us-1 with a similar path, you get redirected to https://server30.curedns.com:2087/. It's basically showing that these are the primary domains for those cPanels, rather than his. AKA, it's resold. Just in case the statement that he has 500+ websites on his servers since the 8th doesn't seem to suspicious to you.
CureDNS is owned by HostDime. HTTPHouse is owned by Ubiquity.

I think one of the servers was on Ubiquity when I rDNS'd.
I'd also like to know why he has so many smtp and imap ports open.
It's for security really.. I don't like SSH that much because if supposedly hacked everything is lost.
I'd be interested in how one would actually do that.
Since it's encrypted, only way you could MITM it is if you intercept on the first initial connection to the server and replace the key with your own one.
Then you can change the port from default to bother the attacker for around 10-15 minutes.
And with a long enough password, let's say 10 letters, a bruteforce attack is going to take ages.
And on top of that, you can make it so that if the user types the password incorrectly 10 times, it bans the IP for some time, I'd say 24 hours.
That would mean that an attacker with only one host could only try 10 passwords a day.
With a botnet of let's say 30,000 hosts, one could try 300,000 passwords a day.
I can't remember the math behind it all, but with a password with a lenght over something like 10 or over, with numerals and non-standard characters, a bruteforce attack is simply going to take fucking ages.
Sure, everything can be broken, but for all intents and purposes, SSH is safe enough until someone figures out quantum computing.
Alternatively, you should stop using passwords like an idiot and use key pairs.

I should read all pages. We use CloudLinux as a VM base. We run CloudLinux aside a load of virtualized Operating Systems. I'm not here to justify your needs. You have your company I have mine. This is how I work. We do use Cloud. We have more servers than that. We also have a VPS node now (if you saw the new VPS page)
