Actually I'd be extremely surprised if using those functions did actually work. [editline]18th April 2011[/editline] Someone wanna try? :v:
Since the API just emulates the steam client service last time I checked, and no steam clients can decrypt the game at the moment I can safely make the assumption this won't work.
Who are you and why are you posting crap in our beautiful thread?
BipolarPanda's alt obviously
Who are you and why are you posting crap in our beautiful thread?
Amcfaggot does have faggot in it. I guess he's a faggot :mmmsmug: .
Since the API just emulates the steam client service last time I checked, and no steam clients can decrypt the game at the moment I can safely make the assumption this won't work.
I would assume they don't even release the key until it's about ready.
On account that we're needing content and that I found this old thing I did ages ago: I know the video quality is awfull, I might dig that project up and do a new vid if I feel like it.
In addition to the coding contest No fisheye lens: Fisheye lens: Even though it doesnt make the planets look massively circular, it does clean up the surface a bit in some respects In addition I wrote a odd little distort filter that seems to make the planets look somewhat nicer None: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9317774/Pre.PNG[/img_thumb] Integer precision on function [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9317774/Integer%20Precision.PNG[/img_thumb] Double precision [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9317774/Double%20precision.PNG[/img_thumb] Im torn between the integer and double precision (This is without the fisheye) Edit: A shot with everything on (double precision) [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9317774/Fisheyedouble.PNG[/img_thumb] Though now that i look, i could probably drop the distort alltogether (Nevermind, looks much, much worse. Top image contains distort already)

Just a game that I've been working on along with someone else. The engine is pretty much all done, all we need is artwork (what's seen in that video is all developer art) and about 40 levels. We're aiming for steam.
Uh..what exactly is the goal of your game?
Uh..what exactly is the goal of your game?
Sorry it's a bit unclear cos I couldn't really be bothered to make the end point a different sprite. Basically you have to setup the level in edit mode, so when you hit play and the simulation starts, all the stuff will knock or blow or whatever the crate to the end point. In this case the end point is a plank so you can't tell it from any other plank, it will be obvious where the end point is in the real thing.

All I do for programming is BASIC on my TI-83, making number games and cheating tools for tests and such. Can't wait until I learn some real coding next year.
All I do for programming is BASIC on my TI-83, making number games and cheating tools for tests and such. Can't wait until I learn some real coding next year.
you could always learn to code yourself?
you could always learn to code yourself?
I could, but I always end up looking at a few C or Java tutorials and just want it to be as simple as BASIC, get bored, and get even more lazy. When I'm forced to do this for homework, I'll get into it a lot more.
Took 2 minutes to implement. (You know you visit this thread too much when you post in the wrong thread twice)

Was bored, started writing an AI/Bot for Audiosurf. Already implemented: Screen capture, 4-point transformation, gray and colored block detection (light blue -> points!, dark blue -> avoid!), median filtering to get rid of some noise. Todo: Think of a smart algorithm to see what block on which lane comes next and decide where to go. Oh and sending keyboard events to Audiosurf already works. /me needs some sleep now.

Its not something you can even pretend to have learnt after a week

Especially when there's a bug in a few days time. Use TCP KeepAlive.
It's stupid no matter how long it takes you to implement. Especially when there's a bug in a few days time. Use TCP KeepAlive.
What bug? Also I have been reading about it and there are quite a few people saying it was designed a long time ago and is not ideal to use. Anyways, if you can get KeepAlive to work in C#(mono linux) let me know because I couldn't :\.
hey guys it's my new task system do you like it Features: Add, remove, and edit tasks. Check boxes for all tasks, option to remove all checked. Save task lists to file, tasks check-state is retained when loaded. When you exit, your current list is saved in its current form, and the next time you load Zapple that list is loaded as well, in case you closed it on accident while making a long list. Changeable font, too. Suggestions?
Suggestions?
Task priorities? Maybe you could have some way to group tasks together? Is there any way to describe a task further? Like some kind of additional info box for each task.
Priority / grouping would be a very nice feature to have.
I'll re-add re-ordering for the moment, while I ponder how I would do priority stuff! :) Updated my post a few posts up with the closing/loading feature

Man, I haven't strolled around these parts in a while. Awesome stuff I'm seeing :). Unfortunately I haven't much coding in a good long while due to school :| Speaking of menus if you guys need any "main menu" music.. or music for games in general let me know. I make a lot of drum and bass but can do a lot of ambient stuff as well. http://soundcloud.com/inkadnb for some examples of my work. Here's some of my better stuff:
