I wish my PC could run Portal 2...
I figured since it was source that most anyone could turn the settings low and play
I got it for the PS3 :3
I figured since it was source that most anyone could turn the settings low and play
I don't want to risk paying £30 for a game that might not even work. I need 0.6mhz more CPU power to meet the minimum requirements, and my graphics card is below the requirement too although it has sufficient onboard RAM and shader model 2.

[editline]19th April 2011[/editline] If so, you can play it, that is.
I could play GMod with the nuke mod on my 6yr old laptop (before i got this one) Im sure you will be fine with portal 2, just put it on low
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks:
Hello Jonathan, Thank you for submitting Rotion for potential Steam distribution. We have taken a look at the information provided and determined that Steam is not a good fit for distribution. It is our company policy not to provide specific feedback on a submission but we would like you to consider Steam distribution for your future products. -snip-
:eng99:
Onboard intel graphics? [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] If so, you can play it, that is.
ATI Radeon 9550 AGP, 256mb onboard P4 2.4ghz CPU
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
WTF!!! Im sorry but how did it not make it onto steam when this SHIT did? Also try desura.
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
Whatttttt? But... Arcadia... I've seen far less-polished looking games on Steam. I honestly thought it would have no problem making it to Steam. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline]
Also try desura.
I don't even know anyone who uses Desura. Don't think I've ever even visited the site.
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
seriously? makes me wonder how much ass joshy kissed to get arcadia on steam
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
That's bullshit, your game is far better than a fair number of things on steam :/ I wish they'd tell you WHY they think it's not a good fit
That's bullshit, your game is far better than a fair number of things on steam :/ I wish they'd tell you WHY they think it's not a good fit
needs dlc on the first day
You AREN'T playing Portal 2?
Finished it already
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
You could try Impulse? That's got some following, I think... You can submit it to RPS/PCGamer for publicity...
Reworked an old binary tree library i wrote to be compatible with my todo structure. Currently it's capable of generating a binary tree of pointers to todos, sorted by priority. Now I'm reworking my save function. It should actually be really easy, I can just use my listing functions as a base for recursive saving and I can just use my treenode adder to build back up from the file.
You could try Impulse? That's got some following, I think... Also tell him your british for extra points :v:
I want to try to write a little interpreted language (for fun mostly, but maybe a bit of personal use too). The problem is that I haven't the faintest idea where to start. I have done some preliminary research on google and have found that I need two basic things: A 'lexer', and An interpreter. Would anyone mind either explaining what the hell both of those things are, or (probably a better idea) pointing me to a good (free) resource on this sort of thing?
Just seen this code snippet from a stargate movie. Thought it was a bit funny :v: [img_thumb]http://img847.imageshack.us/img847/3562/japhsonstaotmkvmediaspe.jpg[/img_thumb]
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
Go make a kick ass trailer and show it to them again

I myself am not playing Portal 2 and instead playing around with Server 2008 and trying to get network installation working for windows 7 enterprise. If you want to help then can you look at this thread: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1080674-Windows-Server-2008-R2-PXE-Boot-Issue

Trust me. I made a language before, it ran in Flash and all it did was go from word to word and do what the command said. It was a huge pile of shit code that looked like it was about to collapse into it self. The only thing I learned from that was how to parse strings.
well, that's that. At least I only had to wait a couple of weeks: :eng99:
Add interchangeable hats to the shapes, resubmit. Guaranteed acceptance.
I just wrote a quick lexer myself. I can't quite keep these things together. They always end up with some redundancy due to some design failure.

I'll stick to using lua then.
Well the lexer is going to be pretty similar for most written languages. But the rest can be either really easy or really hard depending on what kind of a language you want to interpret. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] Someone once posted this really good link concerning parsing the expressions (which usually comes right after you've split the input into lexemes or tokens).
