Thanks darksoul! I'm thinking of changing jobs in the near future so this site should come in handy when I need to put up my demo reel and things. If there's anything I can do for you in return, do let me know.
If you didn't get your .asia domains, email them. I emailed them saying I'll take my business elsewhere, got all three of my domains registered under 30 minutes ;)
bezman.asia, funkyjim.asia, foxyfont.asia.
I could only get 1. D:
And now their $1.
Got my page ready for gaben.asia, waiting for verification: http://www.goldeneragaming.com/gaben
You should auto play that christian song 'My god is an awesome god' in the background.
Oh jeeze. Crazydomains blocked my domain from going through and they won't refund my money. I think they caught onto us.
Dicks!
Are there any other places I can get a domain for cheap?
(.com)

Nothing to catch on to really, not doing anything illegal. CrazyDomains is the cheapest .com's I've seen at $3 at the moment ( which is really cheap ). Watch out when you register it, they automatically put it to 3 years registration which brings them back to their original ($9) so just select 1 year.
Just a quick update from me, the .asia domain was registered this morning. I didn't contact them or anything.
Just have to wait it out. :)

Lets do this shit.
Bought a .asia and a .com domain from them and they were still pending after a few days.
I sent them an email asking them why it was taking so long and they told me they were holding it for a random fraud check. They never e-mailed me about it. I had to email them.
They asked for a scan of some sort of ID, and a scan of my credit card (with the first 12 numbers blocked of course)
Haven't received anything back and it's been about 4 days or so.
Tell them you're taking your business elsewhere, they'll respond quickly :)

Gracias!
Still kind of disgusted with the whole thing though.
Definitely going to try somewhere else next time.

It works like a charm. I did the same after you told me.
Can anyone help me set this up?
I have the domain venator.asia and have set up an account with it at elpishost.
What to do now? (Sorry, I'm a noob)
Okey so I'v set up the name servers I got by Elpis host on email
What now?
You wait for the change to propagate, it generally takes a day or 2, but in my case it only took an hour. After than you should think about changing other DNS settings such as A records or MX records. You should be able to use your site once your DNS changes have propagated though.
Woha, It's ALIVE!
Thanks! :)

There is no such thing as DNS propagation. If you're adding a new record to a zone it should be instant.
Even changes should hardly take more than a few hours.
EDIT: If you're going to disagree with this post or rate it dumb, best be prepared to defend your argument very solidly. You can probably nitpick my post on a few details if you're a DNS expert (talk about TTLs, and what not), but otherwise what I said is true.
Even changes should hardly take more than a few hours.
Re-pointing nameservers can take up to a couple of days to propagate. Typically North America and Western Europe update within a few hours, but for me it takes about 24-36.
As for 'instant' record updates - depends on the speed of your DNS, but yeh, A-name records should update every 5 minutes or so.

You should read on caching and why what you just said is wrong. It can take time for the changes to appear, but they are made instantly and should appear very quickly to non-braindead ISPs.
EDIT: I can update nameservers and have it appear done across most of the world in under an hour.

I'm not sure where you live, but that really isn't what happens.
Even in Western Europe, the changes will, more often than not, take over two hours.
And I'm sorry, but since when was caching not factored into propagation times?

"factored in" ? Caching is the only thing to factor in. Like I said, there is no such thing as DNS propagation. The ONLY thing you ever experience is DNS servers caching information, acting upon the TTLs (or breaking the standards and not acting upon those TTLs, which is why some ISPs seem "behind" others).
Are you a DNS expert? If you are, I'm willing to learn the tiny details, but otherwise it seems to me like you do not understand what actually goes on when you update records.
EDIT: Actually, another thing you can experience is the domain provider taking its sweet time updating records (some of them run it as a cron every 15 minutes, etc.), but that's not related to DNS itself.
No DNS change in Europe for me in the past year has taken more than an hour and I must have made 600 at least. It is normally instant for reasons gparent stated. So stop talking out of your arse Proffrink
Switch to Google's DNS or OpenDNS and the 'propagation' time is almost nothing. On OpenDNS you can just refresh the cache manually via their site.
Also make sure the TTL on your DNS isn't too high (we use an hour/3600).
