you should take some time to research color balance in video games then, you'll find quite a lot of interesting information about how textures are made
it seems to me you may not have focused on this particular part of making your textures, but that's alright, because you're making some sick progress

After weeks of not programming anything because of a Dota 2 addiction I've been forced back into it due to science fair and playing way too much over winter break.
Neural Networks and Science fair regionals, here I come.

Anyone here use Ruby? I've been messing around with it for the last day or so and it's pretty nice. The grammar is.... quirky though. I've yet to see a good guide that will tell me about the grammar, and I don't feel like reading the BNF. It's weird because I am totally not sure where newlines have to go and where parenthesis are allowed to be dropped, and none of the guides address this.
