I don't get what you mean?
It's just that the text isn't "inside anything" and you use the <br> to add space between the divs. [t]http://i.imgur.com/n9nVVvF.png[/t]
Using line breaks to separate paragraphs isn't too bad, of course there are paragraph tags. If he's actually using line breaks to seperate actual divs instead of margin then that's bad

The lorum ipsum text is just being escaped, and 's inserted at newlines. [editline]22nd February 2014[/editline] <br>'s*
I've been working on a login system with AngularJS. It's pretty simple. (Some of the Javascript code is taken from various places) Here are some screenshots: ---- ---- Edit: I forgot about the link! Not a massive fan of the thick black borders and solid box-shadow. You could try something less harsh, such as #333, or match the orange colour scheme with something like #D7610C

Could anyone provide feedback on the design of my website? The website is mainly a way to quickly show off a portfolio and a small resume.
I guess when I look at it I just feel uncomfortable. All of the borders, tex-- pretty much every element on the site looks to be the wrong size, font, shape, and position. You can start by making the borders around the images smaller, maybe some padding on the left, centering your name in the header, and centering Resume in the sidebar. [editline]22nd February 2014[/editline] Oh lol, viewing the source he used http://www.one.com/en/website/web-editor. No wonder it looked so much like an awful template.

Success.
I'll take what you said into consideration, but please bear in mind that I've never designed an website before and don't know how to code HTML.
To be fair, I think everyone's FIRST websites aren't that good, for a first attempt that's ok. For some things to improve, you could keep the gray color scheme but I'd make it a lighter gray, it's a bit dark and gloomy. The Game # 1 is a very big, make it the same size as Résumé. For some reason there is padding (space around the text) on the right hand side but not on the left hand side. Add an equal amount of padding on the left side. You probably don't need the go to top at the bottom right

Could you take another look at it?
So I'm redesigning the website of one of my projects for like the 5th time. I'm still unhappy about a few things, but this is very much a WIP.

That, and the header is only this big on the main section of the website. On all other subsections it is contracted with only the top logo/menu items being visible. Thanks for your feedback though.
Working on a prototype for a local restaurant. [T]http://i.imgur.com/12QLl7t.jpg[/T]
Looking at the image I don't immediately think of a restaurant. Perhaps use food? Or is it just a placeholder?
Looking at the image I don't immediately think of a restaurant. Perhaps use food? Or is it just a placeholder?
It's a placeholder. I'm going to go there to take some images in the coming weeks.
Please tell me what fonts you used they look so pretty.
The title text in the header is Bebas Neue. Everything else is Myriad Pro.
Made this quick forum layout thing By the way, I thought about what you guys said about the harsh black outline on things. IMO it looks good as long as I use it throughout the site. Am I making a terrible mistake? Does it look awful?
I think there's a huge contrast between soft oranges, grays, and whites and then a super dark black outline
I'd drop the outline. The rest looks really nice but the thick outline is just awful. Sorry. 1px grey outline around each category listing would look much better. I think I've also noticed a typo: discuission.

I still dislike the shadows, especially in the bottom right. The softness of the edge on the shadow is way to different to the sharp corner on the white box. Colours are nice though.
Hi guys, Anyone have any recommendations for IMAP or/and POP3 services on Ubuntu? I've tried using 14.10 and installing postfix with dovecot without any success. I'm starting to pull my hair out, if anyone can point me in the right direction (perhaps a tutorial known to of worked before) I will forever be in your dept.

It never worked for me because my package manager is fucked, but you could take a shot.
