Where does the data come from?
-edit-
Sorry I'm fucking retarded and can't read.

I was actually planning on writing some Lua for Garry's Mod, so that heatmaps can be generated for competitive maps. Which weapon is used where, basically.
I know that this isn't as well coded (mostly tutorials) or well designed, but I'm making a Web front end for my own made screenshot sharing tool

Have you actually worked for all those companies or are those just placeholders? o.O
If real, I'm quite impressed.

They aren't placeholders. I've personally not worked on all of them, no. I've only been with the guys for a around a year now. It's a small team but they've done some smashing stuff imo.
But it was me and another front-end developer who did this website and a few others on there.
A friend of mine made an animation for my homepage of my site, and I also did some redesigning

Looks cool as fuck if you turn intensity down really low and radius really high. Nice work man!

Just a note: "GET/data/kills/<map>.json" is missing a space on your api page
So I have somewhat finished my first PHP project, it is supposed to display all screenshots that I take with my own sreenshot tool. This was made mostly for learning purposes, so I'd like any critique and tips, both design and coding wise.

Honestly, it looks good but also kinda of confusing. Because the div that the image is in is the same color as the navbar and for some reason my brain is weirded out. It also looks weird on large displays.

Will make use of JQuery and Javascript for the real-time updating of stats, and uses PHP for the overal backend/page generation.

related, if you're trying to establish a brand you should really look into using a hand-done logo instead of just a script font
I saw some guy in programming WAYWO working on an application that syncs a movie and streams it to a friend so you can watch it at the same time. I've spent the last few days trying to make the same idea but built into the browser, it's come along alright so far.
[t]http://up.nlan.org/R.jpg[/t]
http://nlan.org/testing/
That being the code behind it is shit and piss, from what I've tested so far it's working as planned. I think there's some lag issues due to the bad code behind the video, but I'm slowly refining it. It uses (somewhat) p2p to stream mp4's to multiple connected clients upon someone who acts as a "host". The audio is streamed through as standard audio media, but I was not too sure on how to process the video tag as a stream that wouldn't affect the player controls. So it paints to a canvas which is bad in many ways, but it's pulling it off through jpeg to speed it up.
A little late, but this is fucking great.
Can't tell you how often my long distance partner and I want to watch something together so we have to count and pause and unpause and shit like that.
Please continue working on this.
Also, is there any way you can add like controls for the player for the viewer? That would be awesome.
If you use sublime, what does it look like?

The color scheme is actually Spacegray Eighties from the Spacegray package.
Also the theme is Afterglow.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback and encouragement.
I'll try and tie this project in with any free time I get in these next few weeks I have free, I understand how useful things like this are for watching stuff with your friends. I'll think about a way of getting controls to work on the client as the way they render the video is a little different to how the host does.
I tend to have a bad habit of working on a project then abandoning it mid development, I'll try to not let this one fall into the other 50 projects I kinda let die (oops).
Last night I did lots of work to my gmod server's MOTD. It now uses Ajax instead of an iframe (what was I thinking :v:) and the main logo thing does some cool stuff if you click it. Thoughts?

I really wanted my sublime to render fonts like osx so I installed a program called MacType.
Are there any downsides to it?

Is that the default color scheme of Predawn ? It's pretty nice.
Are there any downsides to it?
I can't figure out how to get it to only work with sublime.. Also it has some Japanese characters in many places. Usable at least.
Since there's a bit of hype on the theme and color scheme stuff:

If you only care for it in Sublime like I do just enable directwrite to your font options:
"font_options":
[
"directwrite"
],
Speaking of font, I prefer Inconsolata as my coding font, it's glorious.
Is that the default color scheme of Predawn ? It's pretty nice.
No this is the Dayle Rees color schemes, I use the one called peacock.
If anyone wants it, here's my user file. Just keep in mind you can't really copy paste it without having the themes installed.
{
"bold_folder_labels": true,
"color_scheme": "Packages/Dayle Rees Color Schemes/sublime/peacock.tmTheme",
"dictionary": "Packages/Language - English/en_GB.dic",
"font_face": "Inconsolata",
"font_options":
[
"subpixel_antialias",
"directwrite"
],
"font_size": 13,
"highlight_line": true,
"highlight_modified_tabs": true,
"ignored_packages":
[
"Vintage"
],
"line_padding_botton": 8,
"line_padding_top": 8,
"theme": "predawn.sublime-theme",
"word_wrap": true
}
Just noticed I have huge padding on the lines, but since I got a big screen I don't really notice it much. You can really just use my file as a reference if you liked the picture I posted above.

Yes sometimes you see the fonts cut in half when you use something like MacType or gdipp (I think that's what it was called.)
