neither do I.
how the fuck did i not see the mobile button in chrome, you can change to any device resolution and network cap the webpage

In the past it looked different, this has severely been upgraded. The mobile button wasn't there, and you had to go into 2 different menus to get it to appear in the first place.
A Doom map name generator: http://www.teamhellspawn.com/exl/name_gen/ You can click parts of the names to re-roll them.

Clicking it just selects the text, for me. No errors in the console. Using Chrome on Windows.
-edit-
I don't know why people rate me disagrees, maybe he fixed it or maybe his file serving didn't work? The console showed no errors, all files seemed to load and I had never loaded the website before so it can't be cache. It works for me now, didn't then.
Hi, I'm back and holy shit this thread is old.
Has anyone heard of Polymer? I'm thinking about making an entire website with it and I was wondering if that's a good idea. I don't have to support IE8.
Also, NodeJS is awesome.
I made a thing to organize my friends and my class schedules:
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/t3keBLP.jpg[/img_thumb]
It's organized by different tags, since my roommates don't care about my friend's schedules.
It also has a class list thing, which is useful because I can never remember where any of my classes are! College is great!
Thoughts on this?

I dislike the weight of the black text. And your checkbox is too high, relative to the text on it's right. Other than that, looks brilliant!
So I'm trying to learn as much as I can about web dev because I'm pretty interested in it and I'm just wondering, is using Bootstrap bad practise? Like I know how to make websites from scratch but Bootstrap just makes stuff so much easier.
Also, anybody have any good simple enough projects to do that can improve my abilities. Just did a really good Angular.JS tutorial where you build a whole application based around a wait list for a restaurant and it made use of Firebase, Twilio and Zapier, so I learned 4 new things pretty much and really want to further improve on these skills.

Making websites with Bootstrap can be both useful and easy, and both are pretty good for prototyping and in certain cases production sites.
However, I would make the point that using Bootstrap is one thing, however if you want to be really good with webdev, understanding how Bootstrap works, and even writing your own, is worth a lot more.

Namecheap is a really good registrar, and .me domains is only $8.99 / year, you should be able to afford it.
Either way it looks like they only allow the domain to be routed towards about.me or GitHub.

That's really disappointing, could have mentioned that earlier
Zelpa and I were thinking about taking nice.meme, then doing some stupid shit with it.
Namecheap takes preorders, but they can't confirm them (Refund if taken), but no doubt someone would have done so already

can anyone give me any cc on my new portfolio? I only have the start of the first page done, but I wanna make sure it's good since the rest of the pages are gonna be similar. the background image is a placeholder and the logo on the left is a placeholder. for the menu on the left, I was thinking about just having it collapsed to start with, with a button in the top left to open it, what do you guys think?

It looks really nice, be aware the "programming" overflows it's div.
And you should also avoid more images, IMO an image for the header is usually enough. Just so it doesn't get repetitive down the line :v:

yeah, I may have to shorten that to just "programs" or something, I couldn't think of anything shorter.
I'll probably use images for the intro page, the about page, and maybe the contact page, the rest will end up being solid colors probably.
thanks for the help!

Alternating colours usually work.
And for the menu active state, you could just make the font increase a lower value or think of something else, worst case scenario: more width on the container so it doesn't overflow. Loads of solutions to this really.

This was surprisingly complicated to make in python using raw websockets
