If you can link it up to IMDB and OpenID that website will manage itself entirely. It's a great idea.

It currently uses the TVrage API.

You should definitely make a Lua or Python script that strips all the data from IMDB and converts it into XML/MySQL. Keep the website real basic like craigslist, that way the google ads look natural. All you need is a really good intro page with the openID sign in things and you got yourself a very complete site.
Open sourced due to request (I'm nice like that).

Finally added buttons to 'set as watched' and 'set as unwatched' for both episodes and seasons.

Hey benbb, do you mind if I steal your idea for this? (not that it's actually going anywhere, I just have no ideas at the moment and want to make stuff)

You can if you want. I'm not stopping you.

I asked him to open source it. You should download the GIT and do something with it. I'm probably going to make a Lua script to convert IMDB to XML. Just keep the design the same bootstrap basic

I'm not planning on using any of the source code, I'm just using the idea.

Do anything you want but I wouldn't expect any ad revenue to grow larger then the cost of hosting the website. But with open source it'll be worth the effort because people get to use it and GitHub is very important to resumes apparently.

I was never going to put ads on it. I just want something to do, really. Sure I'll open source it though. That's not a bad idea.

I'll convert the data collector I'm going to make for ben bristow over to whatever platform you need as well.

That'd be awesome. MySQL (:

Looking forward to working with you. If anybody wants to work on Zen of Sudoku open source, let me know and I'll put the github up. Charlie Cleveland of Unknown Worlds gave me a thumbs sort of up.
All that needs to be done is a bit of polishing and adding user accounts. Your name be added to credits only by text, no picture.

Sounds similar to myepisodes.com, I use that everyday to check what TV shows are coming out.
myepisodes.com requires a login where a cookie file and/or openID can substitute (privacy/security). We can also put in an IRC for people to live chat to breaking bad or whatever when a new episode comes out. Thanks for posting the link

my biggest issue is that i start working on something and then lose motivation 10 minutes into it
This isn't really web-design related, but it's interesting non the less http://www.89a.co.uk/
Finally made a portfolio page :)

Good job!
The only thing that bothers me with your portfolio is the fact that the footer text wraps.

So... Nginx, the popular open-source Web server, goes commercial
Do not confuse "commercial" with "proprietary". They will just have a version for enterprise level usage.

Why this is late, was it posted before?
I know I'm several pages late for this fad, but this is my first attempt at making something useful (for myself).
[t]http://i.imgur.com/LZXWTWP.png[/t]
It's a start page, so I can just quickly access these websites, and search in one place. I have never made any serious attempt coding a good, semantic html structure then styling it well. Of course, you can give me any constructive criticism, I am not that good with CSS and webdesign, so I take whatever tips you have, especially aligning things.
Well, a basic version of the site is up.
http://www.tellyium.com
I wouldn't recommend using this though because things are probably going to change soon. Feel free to test it though.

I would recommend a ton of people use it. The more input you get on it, the better changes you can make to it. Just don't confuse people's input as insults and you'll be golden.
Finished off my blog's theme so now you can actually navigate away from articles. Cool.
